I ordered an OEM fan switch from a reputable source. It tested bad right out of the package. No returns on electrical parts so I just wired up a handlebar switch.

Hello! After a little insight, has anyone used a Litelok X1/X3 or Hiplok DX1000 on their RC79 VFR ? I'm curious about the following: Does it fit around the front wheel (wheel and tyre - perhaps a tyre dependent question)? Does it fit under the rear pillion seat? Any other suggestions / recommendations welcome! Cheers, Jason.

On to the radiator and hoses..... OMG, its done! Halla-effen-luya! Whoa.... this was supposed to be a "quick" job.... Yeah.... riiiiiiiight, surrrrrre... yeh, dude, when ever have you done anything quick, besides changing tires and brake pads! ---------------------------- Photos of assembly, hoses were decent, trimmed a couple, but most were right on... Since the hose material is somewhat "spongy"..... tightening the clamps was awkward, what is tight? what is loose? Did my best snug up, tight enough by "feel" on them... Enjoy...... Coolant to come later... moving on to the front end....

So radiator gets hot fan comes on. Temp stays even but fan will not shut off. replaced radiator sensor, problem remains. Checked thermostat-working. checked relays- all good. water pump cover removed- all good. Messed about for weeks Looked for earths bad connections. Nothing. friend comes over fresh approach. Turns out:- The replacement sensor was turning the fan on but the parameters of the on off temperature was too close so would not turn off. Swapped out fitted another that we tested that had a greater separation on off temperature all good. answer was don’t trust a cheep sensor. Get a good one🤦♂️😁

Just had a look at CMSNL and yes you're right, that's the #29, they also have the other one (#28) That's also a big difference in price ! I guess that's OEM parts. I'll take the measurement tomorrow and let you know, I bet I'm not the only one who order from Wemoto so it might serve others. -

Dragged all the crap I had out of my garage & off the VFR. So a fellow Viffer fan from Australia who is over in UK visiting family not far from me could come & take a look. Had a coffee & a couple hours bike chat. Will get it out for a spin next week.

Have a look at cmsnl. They seem to show every bearing in the rear hub still available. Correct me, but I think the bearing in question is #29. As airwalk pointed out, measure them against the Honda oem's. You should be fine if they match. If possible, would be nice to know if the ABEC ratings match those of the Honda's. That's a rabbit hole to deep to keep this post readable. Have a look at the link. -

I had a similar situation, same year bike, as I recall the brgs were hard to find because they are a Honda only size, no std offerings would fit. As long as the dimensions are an exact match to the Oem parts you should be ok, a good vernier is your friend! -
Hello there I'm changing the bearings from the wheel hub and the sprocket on my 95' vfr, but I'm a bit sceptical about the bearing I have received as replacement. On the left, the thick bearing from the sprocket is replaced by two smaller ones. On the right, the hub bearing is a "joined" bearing with a plastic spacer between the two, that one is being replaced by two standard bearing. Is that OK or did someone messed up my order ? (Ordered from Wemoto, it's a Slinky Glide kit) Thanks in advance for reading me Quentin

Still class this has a Pro arm so I thought it deserved a badge,not sure it's quite where I wanted it,didn't have any reference to look at because they were never fitted.

If you look at my photo, you will notice the yellow, green, red and white markers. Of course, I did this before disassembling.... They are marked on purpose that way so I match the mark to direction of the matching mark on the airbox base..... I guess from front to rear, embosses you are referring to.... | | O -- -- O | | --- O. O --- That as best as can represent it.

Thanks Mello Dude and MiguelDK of Denmark!! I now have a set printed that I'll be using on an upcoming VTR front fork/delink project. Which Heat inserts did you use? I see the link that Ughandi provided and wanted to see if those dimensions match up to what you used. M6 x1.0 - 12.7mm long & for use in 8mm hole. diameter. Heat set insert linky Currently, I'm looking at Amazon offerings.... -
On the topic of the flapper vacuum my assumption is that the ECM is not looking at this at all; it is just an output, not an input. So whether plugged in or not should make no difference to the ECM. You can then seal off the vacuum hose where it comes from the TBs and discard the rest. This is all true of the PAIR system as well, no reason to think the flapper will be any different.

I’m a subscriber to the marking of things! Seeing the shot of your venturis; are you able to set yours up with the “I” & “—“ markers oriented per the FSM? I noticed mine will only go in such a way not in accordance with the manual. I tried to include a pic unsuccessfully but the manual shows for the front two; I I — O O — I’m not able to set them up this way.

I’d be interested to know this too. I’m in the middle of some work and just removed components and plugged the vacuum line from the throttle body. I planned to tape the connector and leave it hanging, same as the PAIR valve harness. Will the ECM care? That’s what your question now has me considering. Hopefully we’ll get someone chiming in about any issues or otherwise.
