  2. Not difficult (or expensive) to do with modified stock parts and a custom made stronger spring - - this type of star fits all RC36 models, NC30s and RC30s and works well, giving quicker shifts and more positive engagement in all gears. Cam profile is similar in principle to FP but not a direct copy.
  3. Hey thanks very much, i just ordered the headers. I will sure do a cerakote and in summer i will have to find a reputable ECU flash workshop..., thanks guy for the help and developing this topic
  4. Yes. Exactly the same. It will fit on VFR 800 engine without problem. Ciao, Luigi.

  6. Some info on clamps.... this guy John Renolds is a super fab guy, His stuff is incredible and crazy.. (love it)
  7. VFR weight is push bike status now. 😀 Pair of bikes parked next to it are 1500lbs and 3,627cc of BEEFY Honda.
  8. Hey HS.

Forum's being hammered by scammers posting TEMU shit, multiple posts every day, can you not put some security or procedure in place in site settings to stop new members joining so easily?

When I tried to join, it took ages to get a verification email.

  9. Having the High handlebars, Crash bars .......and not doing it with your own treasured bike must play a part as well
  10. Yeah the Japanese Motors have mad skills. Both my girls are '99s. One is setup for touring/commuting, and the other for day rides/track days. Work girl is 525 lbs. Play girl is 475. The difference in handling is significant. Since my partner in riding decided to hang up her helmet for solo riding I've been on the lookout for a clean ST. Nothing tempting yet.

  12. I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about. You need to get a Japanese policeman (or woman) to train you 😃 They handle the Viffer like it's a featherweight, and none of them are built like Arnold!
  13. The software and maps are available on this site. The software will run on Windows 10 and 11, you'll need a 9 pin serial port or a workable serial to USB adapter. I've had hit & miss luck with the adapters. If you can't find a PC3 it might be worth it to try some of the maps. When you open the maps in the software it will tell you what bike/configuration it was created for, the M101-001 map was for stock bike & air filter. That doesn't mean someone didn't modify the map on that PC later on. I think the PC3 software uploaded here works with the PC2 maps. I have the old original PC2 software if needed.
  14. Google states : Delkevic part number. Not much use with no rear headers.
  15. Cheers bro. I've got another shift star from another Honda model that'll work better for my mod, stock 800 star will come in handy for measurement purposes, gunna R&D detent arm with a micro bearing.
  16. I have a copy of the software somewhere (if I can find it). I bought on for my '98 VFR early on but sold it to someone on this forum when I bought a newer version. I also have quite a few files that others created when they dyno'd their bikes for the '98 version.
  17. I have the opportunity to buy a 1998-2001 VFR 800 Dynojet Power Commander 2 for about $80, but there is no CD with it and absolutely no support on the Dynojet website. It does have the computer connector cable, and I probably have an old XPcomputer somewhere in my basement with the correct connector. The label on the back says M101-001.MAP. Would this be Plug and Play for my'99? Can I make it work easily with some of the maps that members have posted on the forum? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I have zero experience with the Power Commander.

  20. @Gaz66, I posted the OEM shift star, arm and spring yesterday. Should be with you shortly, mate. if you’re going to round off the star’s points like the Factory Pro one, I’d recommend going with a thicker spring to stop it jumping out of gear. Or just bend the spring a bit so it exerts more pressure.
  21. Hi FreddieFan, Thank you for your donation of 30.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  22. There's 2 I would not mind in my garage! (VFR400 NC21/24 as Gilera Saturno 500 1988-90), ok you got to like a old Ducati also
  23. Hi all, I need help with trying to identifying these exhaust headers from a 1998 bike. They are stainless steel hand have a marking Q1D8HR-2 Other possible clue are the stainless steel clamps are made in Spain. Thanks.
  24. The fries on the right look like Poutine. The ones on the left, fries with gravy. Either way I hope both of you pushed your motorcycles back to the Netherlands border to burn off those calories 😁. Looks like a fun show, think. I would have enjoyed it
  25. Last week
  26. As for the food pics...looks like a proper gut bomb.🙂
