  2. Good tips. The supplied stopper tool is ok for the back CCT, but not easy to use for the front. I attacked a suitably-thick spare feeler gauge with my dremel to make a tool about 80mm long which was a lot easier to manipulate (and would be even better with a small handle attached). Grinding up a cheap screwdriver to do the same job wouldn't be dumb. The skinny 8.5 x 16 section fits down inside the CCT screw and the 4.5mm wider "shoulder" then engages with the fixed slots in the outer part to lock the screw in place. I think you can ignore both 15mm values as long as the shoulder and skinny bits are correct. The shoulders do need to be "square".
  3. Too right, Terry. Basically cost me half what the big American parts houses charged. I decided to replace the gaskets because I really didn’t want to have to do the job twice. Also, I drilled out the oil hole in the gasket to 2 mm per the advice on several cct repair/replace vids on YouTube. Top tips: make sure the fuel tank is nearly empty before doing the front cct. Practice winding in & releasing the new cct shaft before replacement. The supplied ‘stopper tool’ was diabolically difficult for me to manipulate on either cct. See my post on it from last month. Best luck, Sarge

  5. Yeah, what Lorne said. I did not replace the gaskets either so just 2 x 14520-MCW-013. The best pricing I could find was Webike in Japan, shipping wasn't too horrible.
  6. That part number is for the rear tensioner blade, what you want to order is Lifter ass'y: 14520-MCW-013 and the gasket: 14523-MCW-003 - two of each, natch. For parts 8, 12, 13, 17 you'll reuse the existing ones. The 2002+ and 2014+ seem to use the same parts. Removal and installation might be affected by changes to the right footage/brake pedal & master, and the airbox and hose & cable routing differences between 6th and 8th gen VFRs. Best luck,
  7. Hey ya’ll! Just curious as to how you guys replaced your cam-chain tensioners on your newer VFR’s. I would assume since it’s the same engine as the 2006 the process would be the exact same. Also, what part number do you guys use? I keep getting 14515-MCW-003 but it doesn’t look like the right part. Cheers!
  8. Boy, that 750 is sweet!
  9. Well even I know VFRD is for motorcycle's, car's has kept me from doing as much as I wanted on my motorcycle's lately. And that's not my own car, it's mostly been son's car. The MK3 Golf I posted earlier at some point, it has had run issues, strange one's. Well I finally found the reason but my son lost faith in it so it's up for sale. So he wanted a other car and I found one that had some small fault but big enough so owner didn't want to repair them. It's a bit odd car for a Japanese car, a 1995 Mazda 323 C Neo The biggest bonus was it came whit 15" alloys I want for my MK2 Golf So as this Mazda is now inspected as road worthy I hope for more time to work on my motorcycle's. Have had time to ride a bit through Enjoying the SevenFifty more every ride!

    Anything goes!

  11. Followed your thread with interest, hence why I mentioned powder coat & Dot 4 don't mix, seen you've added clear coat over powder coat, Dot 4 will still attack it, it's a lot of work/time & expense to be ruined by a few drops of Dot4, even during the bleeding process it'll weep up the nipple threads & kill your lovely coating, i'll never paint a caliper ever again, got burned by this method many yrs ago.
  12. It’s those things that keep you young.
  13. Flapper system runs off 1 vacuum hose from throttle body, system has no sensors, so the whole lot can go, either cap the vac hose at source on throttle body or bung hose up & secure it, bin flapper actuator on airbox lid, blank hole with a suitable grommet, or rivet a nice piece of shiny alloy or stainless over it, remove the flappity flap flap in airbox lid or secure it open. JOB DONE.👍
  14. Ha, Terneuzen. Enjoy the Mosselen

  25. Very cool.Hopefully she will soon feel confident again. Some great mountain passes not far from there. It has been a while since I last rode there. I remember it being very hot (36C) but the scenery was breathtaking (besides the south east part with all the campsites).
