OK, todays question, My 2003 vtec illuminates 4 headlamp bulbs on main/high beam. Is this correct? or has a P.O. modified this? (2 Bulbs on dip, 4 bulbs on high is what is happening). I am concerned about the charge rate dropping to just over 13V. at battery in this condition. 14.4V on dip alone.

While waiting for the Transalp parts did a few things on the Zephyr. Mounted the chain In picture just checking where to cut the chain, that's why a tie zip, but yes, chain line looks good 👍 As time to mount the front sprocket cover, I got a bit creative as the paint had some chips I'm happy how it looks, I need to check from the manual, as I have one, which way the gear selector should be mounted as I don't want a track bike shift pattern 😅

Hi Everyone For a while I have been thinking about getting a VFR1200 DCT and the one thing holding me back is that Honda no longer supply the foot shift kit for the VFR. Honda do however supply a kit for the Africa Twin and I think it is possible to make a bracket to fit the AT shifter to the VFR but I am wondering if the shift switch/electrical connectors are the same. What do you think - will the electrical plug/shift switch be the same between the AT and VFR.

^^^^^ I like that switch holder! Could be used for lots of different things..

Making a itsy-bitsy bracket to hold the RapidBike switches (map + pitlane), which is a combination of standard aluminum corner trim in combination with a 3D printed part: I 'stole' the idea from someone who mounted a piece of corner trim aluminum to place his gear indicator (found here). So, ongoing.

I put a set of KM1 on my 03 FZ1. About 5k miles and they are solid performers. Commuting and some NC mountain roads hustle. Amazon currently has 120/70 - 180/55 set at like $208.

I put some Conti Motions on my Hawk GT (with Gen 4/3 VFR wheels) as an experiment. 160/60 and 120/70. They've been great. Feel a lot like the Michelin Pilot Power I have on a few of my other bikes (at least on the Hawk they do).

Try Amazon? I just grabbed another 180/55 from there. Navigated right from the Kenda storefront.

Thanks for the update. Was looking at trying these, but VFR sizes are out of stock pretty much everywhere. Got a set of Conti Motions. I'll post up a review once I've put some mileage on 'em.

It looks like the 6th gen rack/bags are the same as the Givi PLX166 racks for the 6th gen, so you've got options for any of the Givi V35 style cases, or equivalent Kappa cases like I bought.

I bought a 5 gen with the 6 gen bags. I’ll post a picture of the rack modification that you can’t see in a bit. I made a knob key for the seat release. The Delkevic exhaust piping can rotate in a way that the muffler lines up with clearance from the bag. The stock exhaust muffler needed a spacer to fit it lower. These bags look like part of bike’s design the way that they tuck in at the bottom. Much better look than the E41 cases and even the smaller E22 cases on my previous 2000 VFR.

180/55-17 KM1 survived my torture test.👍 Round trip coast-coast ride on the rear of a loaded down GL1800C (front is a Shinko 777). I wish had done more precise logging, but current odometer and knowledge of oil change life before I left puts this rear tire at ~7,750 miles of use. 5,200 of that was purely blasting across Interstate. This $120 tire saw monument valley, Arizona Route 66, Death Valley and most of my favorite roads around SoCal. Palomar, Glendora Mtn Rd, Latigo Canyon, Mulholland's Snake etc.. Well squared-off but plenty of tread in reserve. Maybe another 2,000 miles left?

Went for a test ride, summer warm today where I live, +21°C, and a motorcycle club had a spring ride so crowded at my local Cafe But the cafe had been warned, so could grab something, a coke as ice cream The break's, yes they worked one like they should 👍 Did stop for a few pictures on way home And at that spot I was closely followed by this fellow at a distance Wonder where it's partner is, as they usually move in pairs, but can be they have egg's already so other is sitting on them in it's nest.

So I did look into the front brake The right hand caliper had one slide pin stuck, it cleaned up fairly easy through, one corrosion spot it had The pads are Nissin ones, did just sandpaper off the surface and clean the brake disc whit brake cleaner. The right hand disc was really dirty. Now one not so good thing is the other pin that holds the brake pads has a little cut Close inspection show also the brake caliper has a cut, it's like other caliper bolt has fallen off and caliper has run against the brake disc..... Also the plate between the caliper as brake pad is cut into two. For now just robbed the pin from other RC24 caliper 🤞

Oops. I do believe I know how to post YT videos or they wouldn't be on YT. However I may have screwed up copying the link to the playlist. Thanks for the helpful comment. -
I think that you might not know how to post videos. You're in your YT studio in these links. You need the link to the actual video.
