Member Contributer JZH Posted July 18, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 18, 2020 In case you've missed it, MotoGP "re-starts" the season this weekend with a round at Jerez, Spain. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the schedule has been completely revised, with this weekend's race being followed by another race at Jerez next weekend. In fact, as the calendar stands at the moment, the "double rounds" outnumber the single rounds (five to three), and if you like watching MotoGP races in Spain, you're in luck, as there will be seven of them this year... Roll on! Ciao, JZH 4 Quote
Member Contributer vfrcapn Posted July 19, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 19, 2020 And here in the US the races are now on NBC and NBC Sports. I expect many commercials and truncated coverage. Quote
Member Contributer St. Stephen Posted July 19, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 19, 2020 Well, not watching in Spain, just anywhere with a tv. 😎 Yes JZH, racing is finally here, thanks for posting. Looks like Rins is out, MM93 is near the top as usual, and Quartararo fastest on a single lap. But in the heat maybe Dovi will manage tires to victory? Can't wait. But will I watch live at 5am local time? hmmm...maybe! Quote
Member Contributer Grum Posted July 19, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 19, 2020 Be really interesting to see how the Honda Marquez family go! I know Dutchy will be cheering for them! Quote

Member Contributer lazyeye Posted July 20, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 20, 2020 Interesting race. With one less alien on the grid and the championship opening up, the rest of the main players might actually try instead of phoning it in. 1 Quote
Member Contributer Jelorian Posted July 20, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 20, 2020 I watched them all MotoE, Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP. So glad that racing is back. Very surreal to see the track without any fans. Almost like a glorified trackday! LOL. Quote

His RC51 less so... Ramshoek (like Meeuwenmeer) is not for the faint hearted... Quote
Member Contributer Jelorian Posted July 21, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 21, 2020 Sorry to hear about your buddy, Dutchy. Glad to hear he is ok. Bikes can be fixed/replaced, so still a good day despite the off. Quote
Member Contributer JZH Posted July 24, 2020 Author Member Contributer Posted July 24, 2020 And good call on fitting the "trackday bodywork"! Ciao, JZH Quote
Member Contributer Jelorian Posted July 24, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 24, 2020 Marquez, Crutchlow, and Rins all given the go ahead to race! Damn these guys are super human. 2 Quote
Member Contributer Luke Posted July 25, 2020 Member Contributer Posted July 25, 2020 MM cleared to race. If he gets a podium then the rest of the paddock may as well just go home and self isolate for the rest of the year. 3 Quote
