I have not posted here in quite a while so I thought I would try to offer up a bit of our trip to Crater Lake, Or from North Idaho.

First this to do was get the GF loaded up... ha ha!

We then hit the road to Enterprise OR, via the rattlesnake grades

Riding on Central OR is fantastic,

Man, this makes me miss home a bit. Grew up in Klamath Falls, so I know that area quite well. Always wanted to take a ride up to Crater Lake, or even take a ride over to Ashland via 66. Drove it many times, but on a bike... would have been awesome.

Great pictures with beautiful scenery. Retirement in a few years will allow me to start checking off all the states in the US and then some. I would love to see this in person.

Wow! Fabulous. Makes the PNW meet-up in 2014 even more attractive. Definitly a buck list addition.

Thanks for the report.

Those roads look amazing. How come you guys have no potholes in the roads? Our roads are full of them here...budget cuts hurt road maintenance a lot and our wet weather doesn't help (it's not the same as rain in Washington according to an American friend of mine...its colder rain in the winter and hoter, humid rain in the summer, it makes everything damp).

Cool photos anyway! Bike is immensly clean too!

Pot holes are illegal in Oregon.. ha ha, and yes the roads are as sweet as they look. Come and see for yourself!

Also gotta watch for the dirty-bike -police!

So for those that have been to Crater Lake, is there actually access to the water and shoreline somewhere?

Hey Doc. there is no public access to the water. Fish and Wildlife service does limited water quality test and that is all ,they do not want to disturb what is there.
