Lets dream a bit

keny

Recommended Posts

So I´m a bit bored, recovering from a bad crash on my MTB (over bar, head in base rocks...helmet cracked...) I had some 10 day back and just have to stay still. What can you do, well do plans and dream. All need a dream to live for right.

So what would you dream of if you had a Garage that fits in max 5 bikes and 50000€/$/£ on your account for bikes/parts/tools?

My Garage would hold my current RC24 that I would restore better than I now will, Trade my Yamaha XT600Z Tenere for a Honda XRV650 Africa Twin, buy a RC30!

The thing I can´t be sure about is if I would keep the 3rd gen and repaint it RED or sell and buy a 2 stroke...Yamaha TZR250(2MA)...or early Suzuki RGV250.....Ofcorse I could do both, still would be 5 bikes, but I would like a hard core enduro bikes as well, a 250cc 2 stroker...new or used the money left would decide. KTM 250 EXC would be high on my list

I give you the ball..................

2016 R1 to act stupid on. I'd be happy with just a Graves full system.

Tuono 1100 for everyday use

Used R6 for track and eventually race

RD350 just cuz

8th gen is already mine, just throw some mods at it.

had the rd 250, 350 and 400 fun bikes, these days I rather ride than work on them though, still fine.... ok I need a bigger garage in my dream, 5 bikes just does not cut it.

Man... 5 just doesn't leave room for the RC51 or any dirt bikes. Or a real tourer.

Well I try to keep the dream close to reality. Who would have time to ride more than 5 bikes regularly ?

Not seriously complaining. Hard to pick 5 bikes on a fantasy budget, though.

Maybe I'd get over it, but I want to try a fun, 2-stroke sport bike. A Kawi triple would be even better, but probably even more expensive and fickle.

Everyone should try a two stroke. If I had the money and the space I would have more of them. It's too bad they cost so much now.

Being a dud, my garage already holds one VFR (interceptor?) in it and that's all I want.  That's enough after it holding four motorcycles for a while.

I just realised myself I have 5 bikes right now!

- 1986 Honda VFR750F (ongoing light restauration)

- 1986 Honda CBX750F (ongoing light restauration)

- 1989 Yamaha XT600Z Tenere (ready to race!)

- 1990 Yamaha XT600Z Tenere (as parts in boxes at moment)

- 1984 KTM 125GS (engine in parts for rebuild)

Oh well....

I already have...

1 - 1981 CB900F resto mod

2 - VFR800

3 - VFR streetfighter (naked/upright)

4 - Suzuki GSXR 7/11 turbo streetfighter

5 - CRF150F

Dirt bike will get bigger/become legal once my son does...

Would like to add a sidecar option for the CB and a sporty cage of the 4 wheel type, or of my own design.

I'm thinking 8th gen VFR DLX with Honda bags, recent Ducati Monster, and keep my newer Aprilia Tuono.

Although the older one rocks! So.....  Maybe a newer V4 model.

Use the rest of the money to pay a mechanic to come over once or twice a month to maintain so I can ride more.

Hey, I'm not Jay Leno here. Three is maybe a bit much in terms of how much time I have to ride. Two might be better in reality (what's that?).

Also break down and hire a gardener to free up time spent mowing and such for more riding.
