trooper1999 Posted August 21, 2019 Author Posted August 21, 2019 Just a little update, I've managed to get the bike back into one piece and it's off at the painters, it's been there two weeks so shouldn't be that much longer before it's back, then I've got to rebuild the VF1000r/VTR1000 forks and re-install then and them get it on a dyno to set it up with the exhaust and no airbox setup. I'll get a few photo's on here as soon as I get it back! Quote
Member Contributer zupatun Posted August 21, 2019 Member Contributer Posted August 21, 2019 most excellent. Can't wait! Matt in Haymarket Quote
Member Contributer BusyLittleShop Posted August 21, 2019 Member Contributer Posted August 21, 2019 When I lived in Japan (79 to 81) you could buy an RS850 Production Racer from HRC for 500,000.00 yen which was 240 to the dollar... Quote

Thought you should have a few photos. Screen fitted but will need a little trim Hi Trooper, can I ask about that screen? Is it from another model bike or specific to that fairing? Cheers, Don Quote

trooper1999 Posted September 7, 2019 Author Posted September 7, 2019 I've got it out of the van this morning, there are still some jobs to do, like change the forks, install the screen and then set it up but here goes with a few photos, please play nice! 3 1 Quote

Member Contributer Mohawk Posted September 7, 2019 Member Contributer Posted September 7, 2019 Looking very nice. Brakes look a bit ropey but that's OK, as chain is looking similar 👍😜 Quote

trooper1999 Posted September 13, 2019 Author Posted September 13, 2019 Does that look better, a bit more HRC? Or do you like the VFR forks that it came back from the painters with? 1 Quote
Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted September 13, 2019 Member Contributer Posted September 13, 2019 Better. Nice color choice. Quote
trooper1999 Posted September 13, 2019 Author Posted September 13, 2019 I've tried to replicate the HRC magnesium chromate colour, I've had the top yoke done in the same colour. Quote
