Member Contributer Dutchy Posted February 16, 2013 Author Member Contributer Share Posted February 16, 2013 Nah...... Mc dealer is only a couple of miles from my house...... Needed a new tire. Or you think I took the rim for a pleasure run?? ;-)
GadiantonRob
Haha, I wouldn't know what to think. If I saw you I would assume you were just some drunk bum that stole some dudes motorcycle tire and was gonna go trade it for a bottle of Mad Dog. Gaulrung
I think the pilot power have shorter life for performance and the pilot roads take longer to wear down. My Vtec got about 15k from my last set of pilot roads.
Member Contributer dutchinterceptor Posted February 17, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted February 17, 2013 That's cool Dutchy! I wish people were as bicycling friendly over here as they are over there.

Member Contributer Dutchy Posted February 17, 2013 Author Member Contributer Share Posted February 17, 2013 That PP makes the front end extremely light. Like it is not there any more (I really need a garage, I really do....)

VFR4Lee
Nice trick. For the next trick, I'll strap the bicycle to the motorcycle, so I have a way to get home when the MC goes for service.

thx113
Have you ridden on the Pilot powers yet? I put PP 2CT's (even though the Pilot Pures were the Michilen recommendation due to the weight of the bike) on the scooter and think they are an awesome tyre, much better than the sport max tyres from the factory. Do you have a 1000R or two? If so what do you run on them?
Member Contributer Dutchy Posted March 20, 2013 Author Member Contributer Share Posted March 20, 2013 I did one short run a few weeks ago, just a shake down on the new rotors/pads/bearings. It was still cold and didnot want to push things. since then, snow/cold has returned. I did like the feel up front, but this the 1st ride since the winter stop and the prior tire mucho worn, that would not be a fair comparison. But even by placing my hands on the 2 different tires, you can feel that the PP is more sticky...
