Prior I had red rimtape, but with my new 8-spoker, I contemplated a new look.

Never much liked the side look of the CF hugger so decided to get the dremel out as well.

Doug was over for the motorbeurs, wife out the house so we could use the livingroom as workshop

Right, some work for us...

When rimming, a wet, soapy finger makes all the difference!!

Lessons learned....

donot use permanent marker...

donot use engine degreaser on the outside of CF lay-up...

Dremel a bit more carefully....

Ha, seem you boys been busy.

I have to melt your change for a while, as your CF hugger modification, but the 8 spoke rules, as the nice new brake discs and the fresh set of PP/PR2 tires.

I keep the fact you used the living room as a workshop a seacret. Didn´t you just have it freshed up last fall..... :offtopic:

EDIT: I actually think the blue rim stripes match quit ok (even I´m not a fan of rim tapes in general) as they match to the stickers whit a white cross under the seat. The red sticker on the fender would be cool just it, but whit the blue rim tape.... well not perfect. So rim tape :fing02: and fender sticker

The blue rim stripes AND the red ones on the front fender need to go.

If you really want rim stripes for visibility, get the ones that look pretty much black in ordinary light, but are reflective at night.

Better?

PS: the rear rim I will do after the new tire has been spooned on (in a few weeks)

The only rim stripes I'd consider are the ones lit by a laser light - gives the bike a Tron look at night. Very Cool. IMHO.

Carbon is nice by it's self. Don't distract with stripes.

Two Thumbs down.

It took you 6 months to get the crooked stripes off the fender and put on some Honda stickers? What you been doin over there?? :)

I really like the blue stripe near the CF, but I don't love it on your red bike. Just my own preference.

I DO love the Gen 4 rotors though. Much better than my Gen3 slanted design....

Where'd you get all the CF pieces?

I hear ya Timmay!

What about losing the blue tape but applying the Honda VFR logo (on the then black rims)??

I like it. The blue stripes that is.

Course, I'm partial to Aprilia and they do that sort of thing.

Red bikes/blue rims and what not.

The Aprilia my inspiration for doing this ad well as having a blue rear shock and Scottish saltie decals.....

:goofy:
