The crashed 07 is a guy named Dave from our group..he lurks the board but does not post. Dave low sided 4 corners past the lookout on Wednesday morning. A large log saved him and the bike from going over the edge...but the bike took a direct hit on the windshield which did a considerable amount of damage. He was able to ride it down to the store and wait for one of us to get a truck trailer. Thanks to a few zip ties from CanadianKen. The guy behind him is from Fla. John IIRC. He rode with Ben, Trace, and I on Sunday. His SN is JustinR. I'm behind Dave in the red Honda jacket. Jon and I both have red 5th Gens. Next year I think I'd like to try my hand at sitting a corner somewhere and trying to get some action shots of my fellow VFRD members Killboy style. I've got some fast lenses and my camera can shoot 8 frames a second. Taking a break before heading up the Cherohala Skyway Thursday afternoon. Nantahala Forrest is beautiful. Look at all those eyes staring back at me! Thankfully no one left any parts on the Tree Of Shame this year. Two pretty ladies in red under the falls. Stopping for a break and some photos under falling waters. Me under the falls with my 6th gen. I wonder where this road leads? Thundering waterfall. It was awesome. I want to come back to places like this just to do photography. A view under the falls. Looking down river. Viffers in the parking lot. Hanging out and being goofy. Hanging out with all these cool VFRD members is just as good, if not better, than riding these twisty mountain roads all day. A moth's eye view (cause birds don't fly around at night). The balcony peeps. Some interesting colors come out under green light. Stopping for lunch in Tellico Plains after riding the Cherohala Skyway. Two men confident in their masculinity. Purvis just oozes cool. Everybody's leaning, but not on their bikes! Work on the sign begins. The instigator is on the right. The BaileyRock! I think this is the second iteration of the sign. House trying his best to look innocent. He claims he was just watching. The final version of the sign. I had a great time at my first TMac! I can't wait for next year! I believe it was a buddy that rode the busted up VFR down from the Gap - we talked with them all at the OVerlook - he wasn't too messed up. Baileyrock Posted June 11, 2010 Author Share Posted June 11, 2010 I only took a very few shots with my iPhone. :cheerleader: On Friday morning with all the girls waiting for the rain to stop a small group of guys said they were heading out for a ride and I asked if I could join. Well I ended up leading a very fun group of guys including Ponrod, WERA903, MikeonBike, Y2Kvfr, YoshiHNS, Rice, kparham ??????? hell i forget the rest. Sorry. But we road in a drizzle for around 30 min. then basically popped out of the rain and mostly stayed dry for the next 300 miles of fun, fun, fun! We finished with a nice run across the Cherohalla before hitting Wayah Rd back into Franklin.
