Bike is totally screwed (bent forks, twisted rearset, crushed plastic) but there is not even a scratch on my person. I try to ride safely, but I made two huge mistakes: 1. I made an ASSumption about how the rider in front of me would handle the pending turn (I was wrong). 2. I failed to leave sufficient room for error between myself and the rider in front of me. When riding season begins I ride slower and more carefully, taking time to get used to the bike and its handling characteristics again.
