Member Contributer Thumper 8 Posted August 17, 2008 Author Member Contributer Share Posted August 17, 2008 Yeah, I know this is a VFR site but until I get another Viffer, the KLR gets the call. On Friday, Bjorn and I hopped on our KLR’s went exploring - looking for an abandoned mine site near Sandon just east of New Denver. We found the mine (one of thousands of abandoned small mines in the area) at nearby Cody. After a quick snack at Sandon, we went for an amazing ride up 6,000 ft through switchback after switchback to the top of Idaho Peak – where the view is amazing. A great day is an amazing part of BC. Of course to get there and back means riding the New Denver / Kaslo road twice. Member Contributer didit Posted August 17, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted August 17, 2008 I just got home about 2 hours ago. Laundry, lawns and such to do but I had to get this posted. Here you have the second fly by video. Just outside of Nelson we arrange for all the attendees to do a quick pass. Man what an exceptional weekend! Still abuzz from it all. More to come later. Member Contributer Tyke Posted August 17, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted August 17, 2008 That drive by looks awesome, it was fun to participate in for sure, there should be a lot of good photo's with the number of cameras and photographers hanging of the back's of the bikes all weekend. Fantastic weekend and a huge thanks to all the organisers and to Miguel for both showing up and starting this whole thing  .

Member Contributer didit Posted August 18, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted August 18, 2008 I started the video, looking through the lcd display but then pulled my head back and found it, it was really happening, right in front of me! So incredible I couldn't stop smiling. Talk about trusting your riding partner, that was CVVFR at the end. I probably didn't need to move but I couldn't help but giggle as he was so close when he sewrved. Maybe next year I'll try it sitting down.

Member Contributer Stéphane Posted August 18, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted August 18, 2008 Ok, here are a few from my cheapo cam: B&B Thursday night and Friday AM. Potty Mouth, 10.7 Volt Terry, Sparrow 75 and I (Jeanne and I) stayed overnight We were the slow guys in the fast group. Who the hell is this guy? Nobody knows, but he sure can ride. The fast group with a few intruders ATGATT or is it Most of the gear some of the time? Drinking and eating, riding, eating drinking, napping drinking . . .a picture is worth a 1000 words Thank god, nobody ended up here. Another example of All the gear most of the time. Osoyoos. I got more, but I thought these won't be posted by others. SG

I will give you an email address to end me your best shots (hi res please). Didit and Axel 7, I'd like to get the videos as well. Tony if you could mail it to me with the pictures you took, that would be great, Derek, I could pick it up at your place, I work in Langley (September) or when I go pick up my laptop this week, which ever works best for you.
