my first thought was "must be down under"...no way we would feature a rider doing stunts on wrong side of the road....
  3. Any idea how much HP gain? Better mileage? Other benefit? To gain the most from the mod a PC3 or better and correct map would be best. Most of my experience is with using them on Vtec's and not 5th gens. On vtec's everyone has reported stronger pull from low to hi and the best dyno numbers for a vtec was a gain of 10hp, but 5hp is much more common. Should provide better feel, power(torque/hp) and improved MPG. My personal experience is limited only to my track vtec and it feels Great! BR yes to all, but mpg. mpg was worse as you had to run richer on the map. i was getting 32-35 mpg.
  4. Just the same as everyone else here......WOW! Your journey has been inspirational to say the least.
  5. when was this taken? leaves are looking good.
  6. Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. I think they look pretty sharp, myself. But I've always been a function over form type of person. says he who put a snow plow on his VFR....
  7. I have not personally tried them. Talking with those that have, I get the feedback that they are excellent for track days right up to A group runners, but at the high end of that, they start to falter a little. I used PP and PP2CTs for 2 years of TDs. I never had a wear issue to be honest. How many TD's do you get per rear? front? I just started getting to a point where my lack of skill and willingness to go faster started to meet the limitation of the tire's traction. I bumped up to the PR and PO Race compounds and the issue went away completely, but the life dropped rapidly. (Maybe 2 days of track days for a rear...sometimes only 1 at Tally without a flip as it has 90% left turns) I guess I say all that to say the Pirelli Slicks seem to last longer than anything else out their at their level, but I have never heard anyone say the PP didn't last long enough and I am not sure the Pirelli will last much longer. Do you still have tread and are just losing confidence/grip or are you wearing it down completely?
  8. oh, regarding other gears to see how consistent, simply run up to ~30 MPH or so on flat and then shift up through the gears. don't have to go fast in the higher gears of course, just put a little gas to put pressure on the gears. then let us know if you have whine in all of them. does the whine have any pulsation or rhythm to it? ie, does it change with speed or does the noise frequency change with the speed or gear shifting?
  9. sounds like maybe a gear "whine"? how many miles on the bike? sometime, 1st/2nd gear can begin to wear as you hammer those gears and can cause whine. not much to do about it but run it until it gets worse, starts to clatter, etc. you can pull oil and look for flakes in oil/filter. probably nothing serious at this time though.
  10. glad you liked them. hope the powder coat works well. great sons by the way. obviously have the passion for bikes! :)
  11. i ride on the track and find that my street riding is more sedate lately. on top of this, my wife likes to ride with me and with the rich map and no cat, the gas fumes were a little nauseating for her on the back. so, bottom line is i didn't need what it brought to the game any longer.
  12. sorry, mine were on bike when i got it.
  13. 6'2" here with silver 2003. have BLS blocks, heli bars and sargent seat. ALL are excellent choices and make the bike very comfortable for me. a smaller individual got on and said "wow...sort of like a couch" :)
  14. they are claimed by a board member from Atlanta.
  15. of all days, i was fasting....not even comfort food to help me...
