V4 Rosso
Before the start of the new riding season (for those that winterise their bike) there are several shows, one of the larger ones happens to be close to where I live. Manufacturers like Ducati, BMW, Aprilia, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, Triumph, Moto Morini, Moto Guzzi, Cagiva, Husqvarna, MV Agusta en Hyosung show their current line-up. MC clubs present themselves to the public and try to get new members to sign up. Shops bring out new and overstock gear, great if you're looking for a bargain. Hundreds of new and used bike thave a sit on, or make an oppointment for a test ride or buy it right on the spot. I visited the second of the four day event and allready lots of bikes had a sign on them telling it had a new owner. Looks promising for the sellers as most visitors will be there this weekend. All in all some 350 exhibitors have something to offer to about a 100.000 riders that will be visiting the four day event. Below a photo impression of the event. You can tell it is a motorcycle show as cagers have to pay for parking as opposed to bikes that park for free in a secured parking lot and get offered a coffee to warm up for the event :P . The motomedic also got himself to some coffee. Once inside, this is what you walk into. Hmmmmm, different. That too looks different. That's more like it. A herd of MV's Hot asses... Fifth gens for sale. Custom Repsol paintjob. Nice duc.. ..With carbon rims.. Laser expects the 7th gen VFR having a V5.... Italian beauties: Two Benelli's and one of many 1098's on display. I like the black 1098 a lot. Forgot to make a pic of a 1098 with partly painted (red/black) carbon fairings, that is hot  Here it is next to a red one and a 848. There was also an 848 in yellow. A real Beauty. Artwork made from motorcycle parts, very cool. Outside the building, visitor without a MC license could get a testride/introductionary training. After the less skilled riders came the stuntriders. This guy pulled off quit an impressive show. Here is also a vid in which he tries to blow up his rear tire but instead almost blows up his engine. Lots of smoke  Luckily the stuntahs didn't need one of these to come to their rescue: Is that Enzed new jacket? I think it is :D The 675 is rather comfy for a sportbike. Lots of HP. An F4 is beautifull from every angle. Yamaha has a complete line-up of rides for LEO's. In the background, Rossi praying for better tires. Powerfull Ducs New RR next to Stoners 2007 ride. Huh, where's the clutch lever? Aprilia with (semi?) automatic gearbox. Line up of Candy Glory red Honda's. I love the 2008 silver too. I think the gold with metal flake of the CBF1000 would also look good on the VFR. HRC was present too, showing off their latest developments  Moto Morini is back. @BonusVFR, what about the new Guzzi? More Italian beauties. To me at 6'3" they're a perfect fit. But this one has the best ergo's, even slightly better than the VFR. The VFR has better looks though. RC8 loaded with carbon parts. I sat on another RC8 and must say it's seating position if near perfect for me. (6'3"). : thumbsup: As said, also lots of gear on sale. Didn't have enough time to check even half of it out, so I think I will go back tomorrow for some new gloves and maybe a new pair of riding pants. Helmet anyone? Ten Kate had a nice RVF for sale. VFR's are not too uncommon here.. V-max with SSSA Nice.. Lots of chrome: ....And the sounds that go with it: For those that have no garage to store their bike in, this might be a good solution. Is is a steel container with some sturdy locks on the doors. The wheel chock is mounted on some kind of sled and is is very easy to operate as the vid shows. €2500,- delivered to your door (well, probably not if your door is outside of Europe). One of my favourites, the VF1000R. Simply beautifull. Some more V4 power. This one specially for BLS. Or is it a stinky inline V4? I am confused  Norton Commando replica. You don't see these two that often: Voxan next to a Benelli. It is wide and ugly but the only suzuki I find somewhat comfortable. Conclusion: The Sprint ST to me has the best ergo's, the Italians still produce the best looking bikes, the new Fireblade is not as ugly as it looks from the pics and has good ergo's too. I think the RC8 looks very different and deservedly gets loads of attention. Looking forward to KTM taking it to WSB. I didn't feel comfortable on any of the Kawi's, same for most of the Suzuki's. Got home just in time bacause shortly after the wheater turned bad ad it started snowing. Sorry if this post fried your internet link :D

TimC
Thanks for the write-up and pix, guys. Wish you had a couple pix of the new 1kRR, but I'm sure I'll see one at a dealer this spring. Not that I'm in the market for a new ride, but I am curious. I didn't go to the Cleveland show last weekend, otherwise I would probably have seen both the new Honda and the new Buell 1125R I've been wanting to see. But like I said, I'll see them soon enough. V4 Rosso
Not hanging off, but me on the Duc 1098R The duc is so nice that it deserves another shot: The 1098S in full carbon dress: Shot of the NR750 Dash. The 3D display is just awesome. The guy was so kind to let it run for a while. They sold one but still have three left, starting at €55.000. Gentlemen, place your bids... Member Contributer ggathagan Posted February 3, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted February 3, 2008 That storage container looks great! I realize it's made in Europe and probably prohibitively expensive to get here, but who makes it? I'd love to track them down and get an actual estimate.
