SlfAwre
Hello all. New VFR owner, super fun bike. Riding buddies are calling it the Very Fast Refrigerator, never heard that one before!
Knight
Beautiful bike. Are your friends making fun of the girth of the bike, or only referring to the high quality white coating?
SlfAwre
Haha. Pretty sure they are referring to the..ahem, 'heft', which isn't that noticeable-until you try to slow down or change direction in a hurry-which is fairly common on the goaty stuff they like to ride. Member Contributer Cogswell Posted April 13, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted April 13, 2016 Nice. I think that's the first high mount can I've seen on an 8th gen. I've probably been living under a rock . . . I'll bet your buddies' bikes don't sound nearly as cool!

SlfAwre
Who makes the grip pads on the tank? http://techspec-usa.com/ I don't think they are listed for the 14-15 bike, but they will make them for you if you ask. They're pretty good. The Stompgrip stuff is grippier but uncomfortable if riding in jeans etc.

Yes, but it's only been an issue for me if I ride in street clothes or similar light duty fabric pants. No problem w leathers. Can't speak for Cordura/Aerostich type stuff-might be heavy enough fabric that it wouldn't bother you.
