Nice. I think that's the first high mount can I've seen on an 8th gen. I've probably been living under a rock . . . I'll bet your buddies' bikes don't sound nearly as cool!

Who makes the grip pads on the tank?

http://techspec-usa.com/ I don't think they are listed for the 14-15 bike, but they will make them for you if you ask.

They're pretty good. The Stompgrip stuff is grippier but uncomfortable if riding in jeans etc.

I hadn't heard that, I was considering Stomp Grips. Are they just too, uh, pointy?

Yes, but it's only been an issue for me if I ride in street clothes or similar light duty fabric pants. No problem w leathers. Can't speak for Cordura/Aerostich type stuff-might be heavy enough fabric that it wouldn't bother you.
