Nice find, thanks for sharing that, now to look for Jama 😉

Thanks, cool Ok, here is the site that was said to have them, but this is from 6 years ago, so who knows, but sure would be sweat to see if they did. It is a header collector for the 85-86 VF1000r I have no part# Yet here's a photo I grabbed from off the VFRW site. https://www.boonstramotoren.nl/en

That's what it says in the VFRW thread, then once at their site I need to understand Dutch. or fnd one that does 😉

It's been a while, though busy, I'm not too much out of the loop. Now the fun is, I just landed a nice original owner 86 VF1000r to tinker with that has 60k on it. It has the lower faring but the previous owner didn't care for it and it also ran cooler so he says, Ok but it's going back on once I get all the details figured out as it runs rough. So first thing, dive into the Carbs, then suspension, possible brakes then onto upgrades, which may turn into tires, wheels and exhaust. As I spotted some interesting in that if they are to be. This is going to be fun. Yes!! Might have to wheel in Capt. into this since he's sorta in the neighborhood 😉

He was a valued member, a great friend and I will miss him!

So sad and crazy to think we'll never see Lance again, physically. Yet his spirit is felt in the wind. -

Okay, Cool beans. other than a wheel, Doh, what else is needed? seems to simple. But like where this is going. I just happen to know where there's a wheel ;) -

In my case where I swapped out the stock 5th gen lowers to Super hawks doing the de link. I can say whole heartily the best up grade right along with the rear shock fix one can do IMO.

Curious here in the rear wheel offset, I had a 1098 rear wheel where I was going to use, then found that the offset is different, maybe you fixed this with the Ducati eccentric ? This is still on my bucket list to do if and when. Thanks for the photos ;) Oh, btw the color is spot on. -

It's all good. I know all to well how these kinds of projects go.

Dito, gota say something here to keep track of a interesting thread. On a side note, Yep, still working with the ins-outs of the header. I have more to dos, I ain't done.

I've got right around 4K on this set, they will easily make it to 8k, most of the time they last 10-11k where the rear goes first, the front last a bit longer, but I'll swap them all out at the same time. Did I mention I like the tread design? LOL I wonder how many get a tire because it looks good?
-
lol, I love a tire thread, since there's like 100s of posts, I'll just throw out my take on the subject. Pirelli Diablo Rossas Nuff said.
