The fact, they both have high rise mufflers is purely incidental but you may be right, now since I think about it. When I bought the vfr, I wanted to put the oem pipe on (was included in the sale) but the owner told me the bike was jetted for the V&H pipe, so I did not change it. Well, it looks kind of better with it and sounds good, not too loud but not as good as a staintune. Well, if I could get my hands on a high rise staintune, that would be like Christmas! As for the 599 hornet, I just like the looks of the bike, the mufflers is kind of bulky (they call it scud rocket launcher in Europe) but it is quiet and I can fly under the radar most of the time. Member Contributer bmart Posted November 24, 2021 Member Contributer Share Posted November 24, 2021 Aside from the 748 models, I think that all of mine have been low/standard mount, even the track bikes. Pulling the trigger on a can for the yellow bike tomorrow.

Member Contributer bmart Posted November 25, 2021 Member Contributer Share Posted November 25, 2021 Definitely low. I don't like the high mounts on the VFR.

Member Contributer Mohawk Posted January 2, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted January 2, 2022 If you need a replacement system then predator exhausts in the UK do a single silencer full stainless system. I had one on my 86 model. Made 59HP on the dyno with 56K/miles on the clock 👍
