You let me hold yours and you can hold mine.

Can I get in on the deal... but without that particular formality?

Sounds like you're tied up with stuff to do and plenty of orders to fill. I'm in no big hurry to get one, but I do want to replace my RAM stem mount. Please PM me when you get around to taking care of those who need it more in a hurry. Thanks.

No problem Volfy, just a "poke" at a friend from across the pond. :goofy: I have 11 mounts almost ready, all the black caps from Honda I could get at the moment from Keith at Mason City. All the spacers are cut and ready, just have to finish the caps. I will do those this coming week and everyone should be set. I updated the list on page 3, I think, so if everyone that is ready to order will just PM me I will get it all straight. Thanks for everyones patience. Just remember to let me know if you want the cap or not. I believe that everyone on the list is installing it on a 7th Gen except for Dutchy and he wants the cap also,

Ok guys. I have 11 of the 7th Gen mounts ready to go. This will take care of the 5 members on the list that have been waiting with a few extra to go to anyone else that is interested. I will send PM's to the folks on the list that have been waiting in a bit. Now, I have made a small change to the 4th/5th/6th Gen mount. I have verified that the black cap is the same part number for all 3 gens. I think it looks OE now with the modified black cap made for those Gens instead of the silver insert showing or the 7th Gen version installed. What do you guys think?

Those look real good, Fred. I replied to your PM with my mailing address. Thanks for the heads up! Now you guys need to put a stop to all this 'nut fondling" talk or risk getting the thread banned!

Update to the mounts. The 4th/5th/6th/8th Gen versions will be a bit more as the price for the cap is quite a bit higher than the 7th Gen cap. The final version prices and pictures are as follows:

4th/5th/6th/8th Gen Mounts

Ram ball = 16.00

Stainless bolt = 3.00

OEM cap = 8.75

Rawl nut = 5.50

Washer material and labor = 26.00

Shipping = 6.00 in the US

Total = 65.25 in the US

7th Gen Mounts

Ram ball = 16.00

Stainless bolt = 3.00

OEM cap = 3.50

Rawl nut = 5.50

Washer material and labor = 26.00

Shipping = 6.00 in the US

Total = 60.00 in the US

Got mine last week. Beautiful piece of kit. Thanks Fred. I will post some pics when I get it installed.

I actually have 2 metal lathes and probably could have made the same. But, honestly, I would have to spend hours searching for parts online, ordering them, then spend a whole afternoon in the garage just to come close to your kit. So glad you are kind enough to offer this service to fellow VFRers. Thank you.

At the end of February my brother will be away for a week so I can use his garage for the looooong list of mods/maintenance... Let's hope there is not a foot of snow then......

Looking forward to being a guinea pig.

Thanks Fred!

You lucky guy!!

this stem mount is what the Ram-Mount stem mount should have been!

YES YES, EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID!!

I purchased Ram Mount's "stem mount"....it is a total waste of money.

Wow, very nice indeed!!

Hi Terri!! How did the move go?

Very well finished!!!!

Thanks for all the input and compliments. Your input is what made these mounts what they are now. The last mount I had finished and mailed out has finally made it across the pond and been delivered. I have some more parts coming in and they will be here, hopefully, by the end of this coming week. The weather is crap all across the country. Anyway, for those that are interested don't forget to send me a pm with the generation of bike that the mount will go one. I will update the list as we go along. Just an fyi though, after this batch it might be a while before I do another as riding season is fast approaching and this year I really want to get out with the local group more than I did last year.

This is the "Ram Mount" for the steering stem. Do not buy it. It is an absolute waste of your money.
