I've painted the bracket since taking these pictures Its a really clean look and easily accessed. Next mod will be to send power to the top box, with a cable that can be unplugged from the box and tucked under the seat when not in use

DAM DAM all chrome I think? Polished stainless (but same diff) nice pic. Btw, Are those jeans? Tracks here require full leathers. Most Tracks here do to, I'm wearing Draggin Jeans they are lined with Kevlar. trick is don't fall off :D My favourite pic of my bike, taken on the Old Pacific Hwy in NSW Australia, a very popular riding road.

18.5L so you still had 4.3L so probably another 50kms or more in the tank This is my favourite thing, the bike is unique. -

Thanks for the reply. I was flashing yesterday and abput 20km away from a servo. Made it. Was nervous though. I'm in Melbourne, whay about yourself? I am finding first and second have plenty of power for my needs. Coming from the vfr800 with vtec it is much of a muchness. The 1200 has plentiful torque for my needs.Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk I'm in south west Sydney so wrong state :( when you fill up with the last bar flashing take note of how many litres you put in, i was riding this morning with the last bar flashing when i filled up still had 3.5L in the tank. -

Congratulations on the purchase. I've had my 2010 about 18 months and put ~20,000km's on it I have had zero mechanical issues. I have a Z-Bomb for the 1st/2nd restrictions, as other have said its a bit of a non issue, but for me and my style of riding it greatly annoyed me coming out of a very tight hairpin and up a steep hill and not having all the power available. as for your fuel gauge its something you have to get used to 130km with 2 bars still showing means you still had about another 100-150km still in it. When the last bar starts flashing you still have 4.5 litres in the tank and even flogging it thats a good 50-60km. Where about's in Australia are you? -
I've adjusted the suspension for maximum ride height and I scape the OEM pegs. I'm considering removing the spacer on the peg feeler for some more lean angle, but I've been told by riders following me my panniers already look like they are about to touch down on the road, so i am hesitant to do this. Lowering the Pegs would probably have disastrous results for me... I'm 6'1" I don't find the pegs to high.

I have had the OEM bridgestones 6000km's Pirelli Angel ST's 7,000km's and currently Pirelli Angel GT's 3,500km's and counting. I can't recommend the Angel GT's highly enough.

The Old Pacific Highway "Old Road" Is a popular motorcycling road in just outside of Sydney NSW. Few cars use it as the route was duplicated by a freeway. -
the clutch is heavy, I have owned mine since new and it has about 15,000km on it. odd that the clutch fluid is dirty mine still looks like new and never been changed.

When I am riding this is my simple method for figuring out when to fill up. When the last fuel bar starts flashing, I look at the trip meter and divide the number of Kilometres I have done by 4 and I know roughly what my remaining range is based on how I have been riding leading up to that. typically i end up with a number between 40km and 70km i usually know where my fuel stop is and distance and while touring have comfortably pushed the bike out to 320-330km and had about 600ml-1 litre left in the tank. for me personally come about 260-280km my knees are getting a bit stiff and my bum a bit sore and I need to stretch it also coincides with about 2-3 hours of riding time. In Australia if you stay on the sealed roads the longest distance between fuel is ~300km and this is on dead flat dead straight stretches of road where I reckon you could push the VFR out to about 5L/100km or around 350km and still have another 10-20km in reserve. When touring around NSW taking the windiest roads I could find I have never found the range to be a problem
