  1. The recall covers ALL the VFR 1200 F/X produced until now, no need to use the ViN number.
  2. Only in Italy there are 3500 VFR recalled, about 1250 VFR 1200 F and 2250 VFR 1200 X Crosstourer.
  3. This is not true, almost for my bike. It was completely transformed at lower rpm, a lot better than before. Adding the Z-bomb and my problems were solved at 90%.
  4. Honda has made a bad job with the limitation in 1st & 2nd gears. The reasons could be acceptable, but the result is even more dangerous than the non-limited bike. 1) Driveshaft At 6000 rpm the torque come back suddenly and above this rpm there is the maximum torque value It means that driveshaft has no advantage by the limitation 2) Torque Power delivery of VFR engine is very smooth when not limited, there is not a torque peak somewhere. 3) Safety See point 1. When the engine come back to full power at 6000 rpm, it is like the old vtec with double the horsepower. 4) Lack of TC Even the 2012 model has the limitation. I'm using the Z-bomb during the last 60k km and the bike is a lot safer (and usable) than before.
  5. Then, why to limit the first 2 gears? The reason is another (I don't know it, Honda does), not the torque limit of Dual Clutch.
  6. The SportRider journalists are totally wrong. The torque that the clutch has to manage is the same in 1st gear as in 6th gear, because the clutch is "before" the gear box. Are they aware that when an old clutch start to slip, it is a lot more noticeable in the higher gears?
  7. The handlebars are the big problem for the use of Crosstourer tank. There is a big interference and then you have to change completely the handlebar.
  8. Also mine does it without problems (with or without Z-bomb). Why it should be not able to arrive to the limiter in 2nd? I'm speaking of a full power version.
  9. This is what I like, the tank with the 2 side panels in one single piece. This will increase the capacity, make easy to lift the tank and simplify the cowl. A full plastic tank will do the job.
  10. Very useful, but not so nice, in my opinion.
  11. Traction control can be disabled. In which way the 1st and 2nd gears work when TC is disabled?
