Hey all, want to say thanks to the board for all the info I collected from here and a few pics to show what I did with it. I always wanted a VFR with a single-sided swingarm, but ended up with a CBR1100XX Blackbird. So, I did the next best thing and combined them. Took a '92 swingarm and grafted it onto my '03 Blackbird. Enjoy the pics and again, thanks for all the help.

Thanks for the compliments,, the stock CBR1100XX chain is a 110 link and I put a 112 link on it with the new swingarm and a 113 would have been better. I almost couldn't get the 112 chain on it. So best guess is wheelbase is about an inch and a half longer or so.

The bike is an '03 model and the black color has some metal-flake in it that doesn't photo well. The Blackbirds only came in one color a year here in the U.S.

I put the brakeline inside the swingarm after reading about that mod here; it turned out good. I need to get a new rear rotor cause the one that came with the swingarm is just about worn out, so if anyone has one that's good for sale ,let me know via PM.

I have alot of the build pics if anyone is interested. Just post what you want to see and I'll see if I have the pic. I tried to document along the way.

Thanks again for the help and if your in Houston, let's ride,,,

I would love to see some pics of the install. What was involved in getting the swingarm installed? Was it a simple bolt on with the same bushings etc.?
