Well how fast did she go??
  5. Disappointing junk? Really? I would call it heavy for sure. To me disappointing junk is thousands of rear drive failures and said manufacturers refusal to step up. A lighter wheelset would be nice, but really a modified car wheel. 2 completely different animals with different forces acting on them. I would be interested in seeing your design tho.

  11. Whats the weight difference between the two? You know what they say about a stiff swingarm.
  12. Seb, Are there details on that bike? specifically the sub frame & seat
  13. Why put bodywork on, your just gonna rash it up.
  14. I have some 5th gen wreckage that I'm thinking about doin somthin similar with, keep us posted.
  15. The Euros are so damn paranoid about EMI I'm surprised they arent required to wear tinfoil hats. Great write up BTW, although I prefer AC/DC and beer w/ my wrenching.
  16. Will, I would guess you are using too much upper body to make the transistion. This puts unwanted input into the front end of the bike. Use your lower body (quads & abdominal) to shift the weight over and dont pull up w/ your arms. If your doing it right your quads will be sore after a long day of twisties. Like BR says its not really necessary to do this on the street but its a good skill to have when needed.
  17. Great looking BB, congrats. Now you just need to figure out how to stuff a V-4 in it
  18. I have a Martel on the way. Its "splash proof" and small and only 40$. Only down side is its not backlit, but my blue dash lights up enough to see it I think.
  19. I wonder if slipping one of those gel padded bicycle seat inserts under that foam would work. The trick would be getting it to stay in place.
  20. Any chance of turning the red x's into actual pix?
  21. Is there an Ohlins # spring for the 929 shock( on a 5th Gen) in the 18-19KG range?
  22. Excellent writeup & pics. What is the RS Part# for the relay. Is it a 5 pole or a 3 pole?
