  1. That will most likely be import duties plus handling plus admin fees.... 😞
  2. Health, world peace and a good haul over the festive season and in 2019!!!
  3. +1
  4. TBH, the main motivators for getting the HEL lines were "bling" and their End Of Year promotion..... (like a 100 quid for the brake lines front and rear) I cannot say hand on heart that I could discern a difference.... But that is my memory functionality maybe I send them my clutch line so they have the measurements for that one on file now as well. (they offered it as "1 line"but I went for that "OEM" look. With an extra possible "point of failure" but that is the price for vanity )
  5. Welcome from "up north"
  6. Nice job!! As for the (oem) headers, they are different. If you "switch" them, they will indeed push the lower fairing (on the F2) out. Thus not buttoning up properly; don't ask how I know.... 😁
  7. I have -by mistake- run my 4th gen on E85 and it ran utter, utter, utter, utter SHYTE!!!
  8. No room in the inn, so a "stable" will do My Lady of Blessed Acceleration Not failed me yet!
  9. A combo of vaseline and peanut butter will have you worry about that monkey...
  10. 2 riding seasons later.... If not for my cougar (and let's be honest, the SP is not an ideal commuter bike...) there would be ~ 14k more miles on her by now... Thank you HONDA!
  11. Welcome to VFRD from across the pond
  12. I know, I was a very happy customer of your clear clutch cover
  13. Right, that is work done for 2018! Completed my (1st) assignment as a self-employed GRC consultant. Clocked ~15,000km commuting on primarily the VF. And a few times SP2. Next to the offices stand a landmark building in Eindhoven. So when I saw this print, I simply had to have it as a memento. And have it framed for my "home office"wall
  14. Mother Nature's little precious gifts??? Riding on the 18th December (usually "winter") and a pint of Guinness! No, that is NOT Mickey Mouse's castle... Evening falls across the land.... a pint of Guinness is close at hand... Creatures crawling in search of ethanol-free
  15. "There goes the neighborhood......." The 2nd video shows the "milky oil sludge" on the clear clutch cover well. Disappears once the engine/oil is heated up.
  16. Not sure if your 3rd gen (1990-1993) share the thermostat and sender with the 4th gen (1994-1997). But the meter on my 4th gen would RARELY go over the mark you drew in red. And that is in 19 years/100.000km...... I never monitor(ed) fuel usage, and a lot depends on how you ride/rev.... So yeah, do check if the pilot screws are on a "normal" setting 1st. But then again, you donot know if some prior owner had the needles changed. If you have a dynometer shop nearby, ask what a simple test run (also checking a/f ratio) would cost you. PS Once I give my SP2 the spurs, 1:8 is not unheard of...
  17. Removed 14,000km of commuting road grime of her bodywork Left the metal parts "as is" as they are covered with ACF-50. 2018 discounted road tax arrangement means no riding this december. So cleaned and lubed the SP2's chain to pull that duty. (if not for the forecasted snows..).
  18. And then there's the VTR/RVT1000, SPY-1-2 (RVt cos Americans like RV's?? ), RC51 when the VIN says SC45 saga...... and now every Tom Dick and Harry is trying to flog their RC51 as a "NH".... Just ride the beast I'd say... (I know, I know the star spangled banner decal is part of the "Laguna Seca" livery, not the "CASTROL".... sue me! )
  19. 🐱
  20. Very tasty bean dish!!!
  21. I ordered my RC36-2 (VFR750F) in August? 1997 while on assignment in Finland. My dutch dealer imported it from France since no red ones were available anymore. Then the RC46 VFR800fi got introduced and it took me all but 15 seconds to realise I didnot want to cancel my order... Registered my redslut on 9 september 1997. So I assume it was possible to buy and register a '98 in '97 For me, the RC36-2 is 1994-1997. The RC46-1 is 1998-2001 RIP redslut...
  22. and the gasket on top of the cilinders is different ("half moon shapes"). Speaking of oil, mine's due again 🙂 Rain or shine, she will do the business!!
  23. Am sure you will enjoy any winter ride (if the roads are dry) on a sunny, yet nippy day. The coffee or soup in a cafe along the way tastes a 1000% better for sure!
