  1. So i figured out that my RC36 I has an RC36II carb, and i have no clue why. I dont know if this would do anything negative or positive, and i set the pilot screws, the all where open 3 full 360 turns
  2. I weigh about 185 pounds. My bike cost about 650$ and it runs nice. Id like to fix the suspension for not to much money if possible, it uses a shit not of fuel and im still trying to figure out why. If its al getting to expensive i might just get another vfr[emoji28] I did read the cheapest way to fix it is get a 929 rear shock, make some adjustments so it fits and then set it up for my weight. 3. If that isnt the f*kcing truth, really didn't change a thing. Its as soft as a couch, maybe its time for a 929 swap Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  4. So the VFR runs pretty good right now, so i decided to take it out on some back roads. Started noticing that if she's pushed kinda hard that the rear starts waving. The rear is like really soft, and i know that's one of the old VFR traits. But is there any way to adjust the rear suspension? Tried looking for a tutorial or what not but couldn't find one Edit: So i found a hex bolt on the left side, think it was indeed for adjusting. Had not been touched for a long time but it wasn't stuck. turned it all the way clockwise hoping it stiffens things up
  5. So i did some new testing and such. Over on the dutch forum they told me to check the ail filter, but it looks fine. Also filled her up again and the usage was on 1/8,5 kms this time[emoji23] where is all this fuel going jeez. So i checked if the radiator suddenly gets hot after a while, but it just never gets hot. I could touch it bare handed easy al the time. Also the hose on the pic running from the thermos to the rad doesn't really get hot either. Bike runs pretty damn good so dont think its its in the carbs and the fuel pump doesnt seem to be leaking eather Some reported their vfr 750 usage and its around 1/19kms per litre so mine is half[emoji23] that's not right Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  6. Im trying to find a new Thermos on the internet but it's rather hard... Is it a hard thing to find in europe? Or could i fix it myself in any way? i'll try to take it it out and see what's up. Stupid thing is im able to find a few second hand thermostat's with housing and all but those might as well be stuck open!
  7. Ooeef thoss vtr's are known for that yeah.. This is as high as it gets, let her run for some time and fan does jump on. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  8. Its probably the thermostat. It doeant go higher then the red bar in the picture Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  9. Temp blijft meestal hier op het rode streepje hangen, het is natuurlijk ook wel wat kouder deze dagen. English: Temp stays around the red bar, but its pretty cold these days. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  10. So my VFR is running pretty good right now, revs up nicely and the idle is pretty stable, but! Fuel consumption is pretty damn high i recon. Someone said to me i should check out the mixture screws, what do you guys think?
  11. Wow you dutch VFR riders are quite smart eh! i'll have a look into it. Bikes running pretty good right now but fuel consumption is quite ridiculous. Im getting 31,75 MPG (1/13,5). Maybe i should look at the fuel/air mixture screws.
  12. Alright guys, i figured out why it was rattling like in the video. So i checked out the front headers and there we go, the left front header bolts where never there.... Well one barely in. So i put a new one in and fastened them nice and thight. No more rattling! I think that was part of the problem why it was running bad because it was backfiring right there, that one header was just loose[emoji23] Winter has arrived here and its getting bloody cold so i put her inside for now. When i got time i'll check the carbs sync again and i have to get started on that head bearing job. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks so much for all the responses. I tried syncing the carbs with one of those DIY carb sync tools with a 4 tubes and and some ATF but the carbs are so out off sync that on tried to suck in the fluid, which i prevented gladly. So i'll try it sometime this week with another tool. And the rattling is pretty profound, but it seems its not coming from inside the engine. Sounds like a good plan to check header heat indeed.
  15. First off. Hello! my name is Eward, and im new to the forum! So i bought a 91 VFR750 for 600 bucks and it wasnt running right, i figured out it was just a spark plug so installed 4 new ones and before that i already cleaned the carbs because it was sitting for some time already. As of right now its pretty drivable but on the highway its kind of jerky. I made a video to make it easy to diagnose or at least hear what the motor sounds like right now, it has some kind of ticking but maybe that's just VFR It has 50.000 KM's or 150.000 km's😂don't know. Here's the link! VFR sound on youtube Thanks in advance!
