Member Contributer BusyLittleShop Posted August 3, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted August 3, 2011 My MotoGp trip from Sacramento to Monterey and back could be summed up as No Tickets and No Trouble other than an oil leak... Maybe this year would be different as I rolled under the official Red Honda tent... would I be greeted with a big welcome home??? nope not a chance... first the security guard with no neck booted me out... then Honda's cold corporate types looked down their noses and had no love for Mr.RC45... after all he is not product... but you got to love their confusion when the fans about knocked over their beloved product just to get a better view of my bike regulated out of sight between Honda's Big Rigs... Breakfast Club where you can eat and keep an eye on your prize... Team Yamaha tech guy looks interested... Good Gig... Martin CEO of the booth had no idea what he was getting into... the response was above and beyond his expectations in fact he wanted to know what was so special about the two bikes??? he also said people were asking for me by name... yea I think they want to strangle me... I'm working with Ebay on the 2012 display... this will not only be my dream come true but a first for the fans at Laguan Seca... Mr.RC45... Paul's RC30... Marv's ZX7R... Jason's NR750... Pit Lane Spying One of Honda's secret to longevity??? air filters... front air intake duct feeds side air filtes... I gather that Ducati's CF Framless design looked good on paper (even to me) but the reality the riders discovered its not working at extreme lean angles beyond 60º... Ducati's Frameless Design ask the engineers to solve all the frame flex problems in only about 6 inches whereas the aluminum parameter frame has the advantage of solving the frame flex problems in 30 inches... All in all Ducati's very short patent CF frameless idea is painfully under developed... 9 time World Champion is waiting... There's BLS... get him!!! Yamahoe posing... How simple our race bikes use to be... MotoGp Mary my high school sweet heart... aka the War Dept / the Bank of Mary... Mr.RC45 takes a parade lap while I calm my nerves... mercy thats not me in the saddle... Turn 5 workers let us stand on their truck... Jorge's M1 leaves some interesting black marks... It was super neat to meet Lee from Motus we exchange seats and some V4 thoughts... Fans at the track and down on Cannery Row... Next Valentino??? Damn plastic front end has no feel... Phil's Sacramento native born Daughter has that European look going for her no??? Passionate riders and their native tongue sounded like a clacker bone in a Goose's ass... Parked in the red zone while the Fuzz poses... I think I'm safe... Cory Call... I raced against him at the Donna Ski Ranch Pavement Hill Climb (code name for their mini Isle of Man on a California Highway)... Cory's says his girl friend is Dovi's umbrella girl... WOOF!!! nice of the girls to pose with Grandpa... Sic'em Martin... I finally meet and thank Brian Uchida... he's the guy that slipped us RC45 owners HRC's secret 3 wire trick that drops the silly EPA map in favor of the full power European map... Jim from MotoMorphic is very creative vision... this is his blue two wheel monster... Al Ludinton reflects back to his days as Miguel DuHamel's Crew Chief: "We had the RC45 up to 16,000 rpms 185 rear wheel horsepower and in endurance race trim down to 302 pounds the weight limit was 300 pounds. At HRC the 2 stroke engineers on the NSR 500 got into a race with the 4 stroke engineers on the RC45 as who could produce the most horsepower. when the FIM changed the rules from leaded fuel to unleaded the 2 stroke engineers lost about 5hp by which the 4 stroke engineers claimed victory." Yeah Larry, tell us what is so special about these bikes compared to e.g. a Rune or DN-
