  1. I had this very same thing over here on the West Island. The FI thingy just didn't flash much, maybe once, when I had the doodad plugged into the diagnostick receptacle. So I lifted the tank (petrol, guzzoline, fuel) and unpluggered the Air flow Meter thing (on the RHS), and blew into it with an air compressor (nozzle), to clean it, then reconstructed the bike after it exploded. That did the trick, no more Red Eye.
  2. Welcome and great purchase, its quite a rare colour for the 5th gen. Couple of notes: - get yourself a staintune or similar slip-on and release the sound of the V4! - how many miles on the bike? - Valve clearances - I had mine checked at 35k km, and again at 70k km, my mech doesn't want to see it again until 150k km.

  12. hey did any of the guys here who got the Delkevic pipes try holding the pipe up behind the passenger peg, like a high-rise pipe? so maybe a longer different angled connector might just work?? (with no panniers of course!)
  13. and still no high-rise pipes...
  14. I had mine done by jet-hot in Victoria, 2 week turnaround. That was over 5 years ago, got the Sterline finish, they still look great today.
  15. I too had a bad experience with the VHT stuff just flaking away after I did all the right things. Hope your experience is better than mine. Ended up sending my pipes off to Jet-Hot to do them peroperly.

"ditching" is Australian for "Throwing" as in "throw it in the ditch". The Sandy headers have really bad internal welds and faults, there a couple of topics on the forum here somewhere.
  25. great work house!
