  1. I love my TechSpec tank grips on nearly every bike. They're easy on gear and grippy when you need it.

  3. I completely forgot about the volcano grip option. I did the icon ones on my VFR and found them to have zero grip. I've had volcano on other bikes and they worked great.

  4. Pay attention to the coolant fittings the hoses connect to, 3 of mine were heavily pitted and after a thorough cleaning found they had corroded right through. All but one of them are still available, luckily that was the only good one. The O-rings behind them were pretty much done too, glad I took them off to check.

  5. Sorry - slight thread highjack. I just had a decent 400km test ride on the YSS shock. I also fitted a Pirelli Angel GTII rear tyre and reworked the fork Gold Valves. The old ST13000 (2004, 126000km) is handling very sweetly indeed. The YSS has been a good investment. Surprisingly plush and well controlled.

  6. NORMAL. Put in your new clutch and springs, it will still be there. It's 99.99% not a "problem".

  8. Yes, came with metal ring and o-rings, got my instructions from utubing. I had a set of donor clocks for the housings and lenses. The housing exterior cleaned with wd-40 and wiped dry, interior with very weak solution of carwash soap and water, gauge, lenses and clock faces too. Thanks Bren

  9. The gauges turned out nice. This is what I did to the controls before I started memorializing my adventures on this forum; Every contact and mechanicals in the controls was full of gummed-up gunk...cleaned! The start button was broken, I drilled out and re-pinned. Ignition key switch was attacked with a screwdriver; the little dust door was folded in half and I had to create a new spot for that pivot pin in the switch housing. Turn signal switch ... I think someone used chain lube on all this shit....anyways its all cleaned and working. (I don't expect the key switch dust door to last long...:( ⚰️ New sight glass and rebuilds for the hydraulics. Now just waiting for the shock to come home from rebuilding, assemble the rear and pull the carbs. I have the o-rings to refresh the coolant plumbing as well.
