  2. It's hard to see in the picture, but it looks like you have a front mounted radiator stuffed in there I know other members have considered this but ultimately determined there wasn't enough space between the front cylinder head and the front wheel with suspension fully compressed. Is it sitting below the front cylinder head, and you've modified the headers to make room? Regardless of what you've done, that's a sweet looking bike.
  3. So, looking down that row of bikes... want, want, want, want, and want. However there is only one that I would ride every day
  4. Not exactly my taste, but well done :fing02: Besides that, I'm always in favor of making yourself more visible and it seems like this should do the trick at night.

That is a gorgeous shot! Somebody really handy with photoshop should be able to get rid of that suv.
  8. Sounds good :fing02: Like everyone else said, let's see some pictures!!
  9. Are you an engineer? How would you test these wheels to insure they would hold up to the stresses experienced while riding? I think it would be great if you built a custom wheel for your bike, and if it fails you only have yourself to blame. However if you sell one to someone else and it fails... I am obviously skeptical but curious nonetheless to see where this goes. I am not interested in buying one, but only because it's being built by an individual and not an established wheel manufacturer. Best of luck to you!
  10. its still a work in progress...it wont be finished and road legal for a few weeks more...plus being a quadriplegic,it will mostly be used for short rides only There are some VFRD folks near Apple Valley... I'm just sayin' Shaynej and HidesertMLB are both in that area to name a couple, I'm sure we could get a big group together when you're ready to show off you're creation :fing02: Very cool work, keep us updated on the progress.

    Trackday

Nice, home page! One of these days I'll make it to the track with you :fing02:
  12. Add this if you want, it doesn't represent anything real just having fun with Photoshop.
  13. Maybe this link will give you some ideas on lightening a bike. Someone posted it on the local forum. http://www.ducati.ms/forums/showthread.php?t=76500 :comp13: Why show us that? What good could possibly come from me seeing that?! :fing02: Now I have to go find $140k to buy a 1098R, throw away most of the parts, buy a bunch of titanium and carbon fiber parts, only to end up with a bike that I would have neither the skill nor the balls to ride. That's an amazing bunch of hardware, and someone is going to cry for an entire month when they highside that thing
  14. Have TIG welder, probably going to fabricate an aluminum subframe this winter... I'll let you know how it goes. Also planning on version 2.0 of my exhaust :fing02: I've been trying to sell my bike, but since that's been unsuccessful and I'm not riding it... I will tinker with it! As for your goals with this bike, I say go for it :wheel: Just because other people have tried and failed is absolutely no reason to stop, I am looking forward to seeing the results.
