Time for a little DRL mod....

"what does this button do???"

post-8974-0-92025500-1372838539.jpg

(water resistant IP65 aluminium switch with orange LED ring)

(and yes I need to rattle can that bracket)

18 leds on either side should enhance my visibility by cagers/others...

Finished last night (my brother is on vacation so I took possession of his garage) so no daylight pictures yet.

That looks great. How visible are your blinkers now?

This would be my concern as well. Some trucks (Dodge for sure) actually cancel one DRL on the side that you're currently signalling, in order that other motorists may better see your turnsignal.

Undecided on the actual headlight bulbs...

the one to the right (looking at it) is a regular H4 with a yellow glass globe over it

the other a Hella H4 Yellow Star

I have to choose because running with 2 different colors yellow will attract the law's interest....

Using 2 headlight is ok only if they "appear to be one..."

The DRL's I will not call DRL since I doubt if they are legal.

BUT the law allows motorcycles registerd before November 1997 2 white "working lights".

My redslut is registered in September 1997, so I will call them working lights.... :goofy:

That is the danger with these bright LED's. Was following an HD that had a super bright brake/tail light that made his amber turn signals almost invisible!!

My reasoning is, for them to see my blinker, they need to notice me first.....

I fractured 8 ribs as a direct consequence of a cager doing an illegal U-turn, me riding in a straight line...

My taillights remain unchanged

Maxwell,

I only had my right blinker on for the pic..
