Camera Ram Mount Using 6th Gen Front Tank Bolts ?

The front two bolts that hold the tank on seem like a great place to put a RAM mount for a camera but I can't figure out what base/ball plate to use.

Has anyone done this ?

RAM mounts.

Take the U-bolt out and use the bolts from the tank to mount.

Yes, lots of us have been using this set up for quite a while. I've used as both a vid cam mount and a RD mount  gallery_326_40_511837.jpg

I can't find the camera mount on their site? Is it a combination of 2 parts?

Sweet cheap solution! How new does my windshield need to be? I think it is an original.

RAM tank mount works great on 5th and 6th gen bikes. Another great VFRD pass on!!!!!!!!

I prefer to use camera on left grip so I can shoot over the shield. Zumo goes on Tank MT.

Awesome, thanks for the info guys.

I'm actually using a tank mount for the camera and trying to figure out where to put the recorder. I've just been putting it in my pocket, which works fine. I may just keep it there and mount the remote control, it's only abut 1.5" square.

RAM has two sizes of u-bolts: to fit 3/4" to 1" handlebars and for 1" to 1-1/4" handlebars.

I would imagine that only one of these will fit 6th Gen. tank bolts.

Which one should I use?

Thanks.

I would also like to know which size everyone is using. This looks like a great option!

Word of advise, don't bother with a ram mount video camera, even if it's only to hold a lipstick cam. They just vibrate to much with the one mounting point & length you need to raise cam over instruments.

www.sportbikecam.com has a tank mount for video cam's that bolts onto tank filler cap bolts & keeps vibration down to a minimum, I have one on my 6th gen & it works a treat (I tried the ram mount first because I already had one installed for gps).
