Potze
Does anyone here have experience converting a Ducati 888 rear wheel into a Honda VFR750 RC36-2. I myself am thinking of using a Honda VFR400 NC30 rear hub for this. Should this be possible? Any help would be appreciated.
Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted January 23 Member Contributer Share Posted January 23 Having the spindle (and/or wheel) modded for different wheels has been done for a while over on hawkgtforum. I had my Hawk modded for a VFR wheel and there has been plenty modded for Ducati wheels. You might pop over there and poke around. https://www.hawkgtforum.com/forum/honda-hawk-gt-bros-discussions/hawk-bros-vendor-area/927189-spindle-mods-by-ww-r
Member Contributer Tirso Posted January 23 Member Contributer Share Posted January 23 I think you meant to say Ducati 848 rear wheel as 888's do not have single sided swing arms. No personal experience with RC36-2 single nut conversion. The only RC36-2 single nut conversion I've seen is on Intagram from Japan (https://www.instagram.com/p/CTHWb3xnjeN/) Don't know what he used, though judging from the size of the nut, looks like a Honda rear hub (https://www.instagram.com/p/BDImq_KEYl6/)

Member Contributer vfrcapn Posted January 23 Member Contributer Share Posted January 23 There may be a kit like this, https://www.extremecreations.com.au/1098-ducati-hub-conversion-kit-for-vfr800 around so you can just mount in the Ducati hub, spindle, wheel & brake. Sebspeed was talking about making a kit like this also.

I put a Hawk spindle that was modified in the Tyga 4th Gen, and could run nc30/35 or Duc wheel.

I have done the conversion using Triumph parts. I modify the wheel stub of the Triumph axle via machine/press fit/weld then add spacers and drive pins so it all can be bolted in the 750 swingarm.
