After a lot of sorrow and a very crappy situation, my dearly departed father is smiling down on me now.......  as I have the green light from the amazing company I work for to take the time I need to recharge my mental batteries, and have some fun in the North Carolina twisties with you fuhkkers.  I'm Back!!!!

Now to book the Microtel, and make the travel plans.  Guess its time to uncover the VFR and see if its still hiding under the blanket.......

I now have something really nice to look forward to.

Travis - stuff away!!

Hopefully I can be there to greet you when you arrive with a cold beverage and hearty handshake brother.

OK. So, now, that this damn place is finally up and running, I am registering.

Look out, ya hooligans.

Well if you think you might want a room I suggest you reserve one now as our Hold has now dropped off and there up for grabs to anyone now.

Cash's BBQ has closed it's door so I am sourcing other options and open to suggestions.

Working with the T-shirt company to get a design and order in.

Contacted Highland Brewing about kegs, but no response yet.

If you really need to make it easier, buy beer in bottles. We can pick it up as needed and there won't be anything to return. Make it easy on yourself BR, its all good. Just remember, I only like one kind of beer...cold.

I could always get a keg of Coors Light.

Why not PBR, the boxed wine of beers?

Because I'm not a hipster. I've earned my beard and I don't wear skinny pants.

Rt 28 from 74 to Stecoah is a known speed-trap city, also towards the Overlook on the Gap there is a stretch called "Radar Straight" because it's a known speed trap spot, other than that...

I was just reading through some of these posts....

You guys are in for a real treat in Swain and Graham Counties.

28 is now 45mph then down to 40mph at Tuskeegee. Coming into Fontana it drops to 25mph.

But there is good news the limit goes back up between Fontana and Deal's Gap... Yep. up to 30mph.

Gone are the days of the statewide 55mph speed limit.

Graham County has successfully dropped the speeds on most roads by 5mph, and a few others like 143 going to the Skyway by 15mph.

Graham County has purchased a beautiful new fleet of Sheriff patrol cars. There is a mix of Chargers and Taurus'.

The ones I like are white with reflective white decals... Almost impossible to spot.

The totally white or black cars are another feature. All have RADAR. You will have a lot of enjoyment spending your time scanning for the law these days.

The nice thing is they all are working on the weekends... Monday through Thursday they are parked in driveways at the deputy's houses.

Legalspeeding.com can get you the HARD System before your visit. It does help.

Good Luck.

Daggum right. We got to get in another N. GA run like last year.

I still get hyped up recalling that pass across Blood Mtn.

We have topped 35 folks signed up so far. I usually avg. 15-20 late sign-ups every year within the last 30 days.

We'll see what happens this year?

If one is still on the fence to join this for the 1st time, don't :-)

I flew across the pond for it and it was a verry happy tick on my bucket list!
