  5. Honda Hawk, NT650GT, loved that bike.
  6. I'm stuck in the 80's so cars were not fast, but lots of fun. My motorcycles will always be faster, but fun is equal among them. Lots of times a good handling slower car can be a blast, you learn to carry momentum. I live an hour from Shady Valley and lots of good roads, so they all get to have fun.
  7. I have a thing for VFRs and riding lawnmowers, but this never crossed my mind, maybe I am not as demented as I sometimes feel! Good job on this, I think an electric motor for the blades is a good idea, something about the standard 3,600 RPM limit for most mower engines would not translate well to the the VFR redline.
  8. That looks great! Good to know the body work can be saved, it reminds me I need to get mine out for a ride.
  9. That is impressive! I like your idea about more range, not many can take a bike they like and make it a bike they love, looking forward to this.
  10. Or 3rd Gen wheel, even though the 3rd Gen ran a 170 tire, it is a 5.5" vs. 5" of the 4th Gen.
  11. Sounds like a great ride, I've done two separate 2 week trips out west, best trips of my life. Wish I had the time to go, but I am a few more years from retiring, but will be doing the same sort of trip when I do retire.
  12. Awesome post, thanks! Saw on the MotoAmerica site it was coming, but had not seen this video!
  13. Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your donation of 50.00 USD. We look forward to improving the forums with your donation. Thanks VFRDiscussion
  14. Mine is mounted in the same location as the picture above.
  15. If you have not downloaded the shop manual, do that and look at the carb diagram or go to an online shop and look at the exploded parts diagram. It does not look familiar to me, but it has been many years since I had mine apart. On the poor idle, you will have to get a section of thin wire and clean out the idle passage, I had to do this on all four of my carbs, but it sat a few years. Slow process of poking the wire in then spray carb cleaner in the passage, then wire, then carb cleaner, etc.
  16. That looks really close without the flash.
  17. That looks like the system I ordered, looks great and sounds great, you are giving me motivation!
  18. Wow!
  19. That makes sense, the Quota has the suicide side stand, self retracting, I think there is a fix for it i will have to do one day.
  20. I don't know if it is the angle, but that is one heck of a side stand on your 850 T!
  21. Looks like a great project, keep us posted!
  22. Nice! 850? What is the plan?
  23. On the first page of the '87 brochure, it says "This kit was designed for the VFR750F..." and "You are required to prepare some parts by yourself." That seems to indicate that these are kits for production models and not models themselves.
