Well, the motorcycle show is here in Toronto this weekend.
Debating on whether to go or not. Do I waste $20 on parking and $22 to get in.
I always leave disappointed.
But since I'm a gear head I need my fix of being around motorcycles.
Last year with Kawasaki and other manufacturers missing the show was sad.
I left the show thinking If i brought my storm trooper VFR and placed it on a stand it would have been
one of the best looking bikes there. LOL.
Motorcycling in Canada is a becoming a joke especially how many bikes we do not get here in Canada as opposed to Europe.
After 3+ months outside (frost, snow..),
took the tarp off, took her from the airtight bag, fitted the 6V battery, primed the carb, gave 2 kicks....

Finished cleaning the sprockets and the EK MVXZ chain ( all of which looks in good shape ), so I am just going to use the set on it for this summer. When I removed the chain I of course
had to grind off the rivet master link and since I do not have a rivet chain install tool I am going to use this type of screw master link that EK has.
This screw link is rated for the MVXZ chain and everything I have read about these screw links sounds positive, I know this link would not be the ticket if I was on the track or dragging a knee somewhere but those days are over
Any Thoughts?
It's amazing how much better brakes become when you open them up, clean out the crud and corrosion behind the seals and put in nice new seals with cleaned up pistons. I'm not sure if it's braking power increases or brake feel but, either way, it's really worth the time to do!
Moving the ride to Saturday, March 2 enables St. Stephen to join us, effectively increasing participation by 50%.
So, let's move the ride to SATURDAY, MARCH 2. Updates forthcoming shortly before the ride.
St. Stephen looks pretty chipper here, considering he just rode 80 miles through a car wash. Notice how clean the bikes are!
NOT looking for a repeat of those weather conditions this time around.
In my area (NE Ohio), "Powersports" means mostly an inventory consisting of side-by-sides, ATVs, personal watercraft (aka Jetskis), maybe a couple snowmobiles, and perhaps a handful of very ordinary motorcycles. That's not always true, of course, but for most of the smaller shops it often is now. And forget any decent selection of riding gear. 😕
Turns out the little ball bearing had popped out of a small socket tool that I used to undo bolts for clutch cover and somehow made it's way into the sump.......Crisis averted!
