  2. Hi Everyone. My first Post So I'm building a VFR using a lot of different bits and pieces to get in the end my version of a 6X replica. Highlights are Triumph Daytona 675 Wheels. Triumph T595 Forks (45mm) Powder coated Frame, Engine Ported, Vapor blasted and painted. I will start posting photos of the build as it progresses

  3. It's been a while, though busy, I'm not too much out of the loop. Now the fun is, I just landed a nice original owner 86 VF1000r to tinker with that has 60k on it. It has the lower faring but the previous owner didn't care for it and it also ran cooler so he says, Ok but it's going back on once I get all the details figured out as it runs rough. So first thing, dive into the Carbs, then suspension, possible brakes then onto upgrades, which may turn into tires, wheels and exhaust. As I spotted some interesting in that if they are to be. This is going to be fun. Yes!! Might have to wheel in Capt. into this since he's sorta in the neighborhood 😉

  4. You may be right, Gaz, and I hope that you find one to share with us...but you'll likely buy one of these in your life. How much time do you want to put into finding an alternative to save a few bucks?

  5. It can, but most folks I know "overbuy" instead of using a standard. I use Valvoline 3/4 in all of my bikes and cars, including for 100% track use without issue. IF your system is truly under extreme stress/heat, you may need a racing version, but that is nearly no one. The amount used will depend on how much flushing you do/need to do...and the size of the bottle. They come in many sizes. One 12 oz bottle would easily do one bike. unless you over do it! This is 32 oz of DOT 3/4 and it is CHEAP! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Valvoline-601458-Synthetic-DOT-3-and-DOT-4-Brake-Fluid-32-oz/19897941 I try to do all of my bikes every spring just before the season. The track bikes get a mid season flush in the fronts. The bigger bug is normally dirty caliper pistons and not bad fluid.
