With the Gilera and the MV and the Moto Morini you have a nice little group. A Ducati 250 desmo would blend in nicely, wouldn't it?

Nah...  An Aermacchi first......

Ducati's are way overpriced here, bit IF then a 125 scrambler like a friend of mine rides.

Prior owner eas either drunk or confused....

The 🦘 is all 6V, except the headlight.  Fitting a 6V bulb will not have helped the corroded wiring/cabling...

New bulb and connectors.

AND THERE WAS LIGHT!!!

Ouch. Are replacements still available?

Never seen a disc rotor with a mirror finish like that one 😎

Yes, the kits are still available (through a classic Morini specialist in Germany).

Yeah that rotor is indeed a strange one. It performs well enough though (top speed of the bike is some 130KMH).

Some users have the chrome finish turned off for better perfromance But I won't bother.

My MV developped a quirk....

Ignition on, no clack from the electric fuel tab, no neutral light, no lights, no claxon.

Engine starts and runs fine (with manual reserve tab). After some 10 minutes riding, lights, claxon works and the manual tab can be shut.

Next time ignition on, same palaver.

The culprit?

The previous owner had soldered the end of the wire. Solder does not clamp very well (opposed to copper).

So that was an easy fix.

Great waistline!

yeah the battery strap is way to long, so a bit of PVC to fill the gap 🙂

Blue tiewraps for a quick and dirty wire to my GPS...

All in all a nice 300km day!

Oh dear, that doesn't look healthy. Good luck with the repairs.

Thanks.

I have a lead on spare cilinders..

Failing that, in 2,5 weeks I'll be in Milan, Italy on a large mc fair. I know there'll be an Italian gentleman with parts.....

In the mean time, my commuter is a Honda again...

And after work I  "put put" around on a wee 150cc  4-stroke.
