Oh hell yeah that picture is going on the hard drive for future use! :laughing6-hehe:
-
You still using that Canon SX100?
-
It's just like when you drop a piece of buttered toast.....ALWAYS lands buttered side down.
Graphics looks great! :fing02:

As soon as you get that thing finished drive to the nearest mountain pass and take a hundred pics of it before it gets dirty!!
Still think you can make Arkansas?
-
Dutch,
You are the "Tire Tester"!!
How do your car tires look?
j/k
Ride safe,
ki-speed (Mark)
Actually, my little wheelbarrow(86 Toyota Pickup) has tires that are rounded off like a motorcycle tire. What can I say....I love cornering and acceleration!
-
Some really good shots in that bunch. Sucks about the 4x4 jack-hole. I would have done the same.
-
114???? Good heavens...hopefully it cooled off when you got moving again.
That's what it felt like all weekend with my stich on. I'm sure there was some residual heat from the motor at work there but it was noon in the sun in the middle of a cement parking lot so it was still darn warm. It cooled down to 94 once I was at speed.

Cool shots! Glad to see you made it up some of the BRP this year. :fing02:

Slammer is a good guy to ride with even though he hammers you in his blog.
Yeah, he's entertaining for sure. Keep riding with him and you're cornering will definitely improve.....mine did. :fing02:

New springs and fluid in the forks do make a big difference.
Everybody should have a 50cal and RL mounted to their garage.

Noticed on a Texas Bandit forum Mr. Dude was commenting that he had blown away some VFR's after his mods and I wondered if you were one of them.

Surprised my buddy wasn't there with his wife's restored Stella.

Man, you've got the worst luck with cops!
-
Moo!!
Looks like you were riding in the Texas Hillcountry for a moment.
-
For some reason your report made me hungry.

Good write up Dutch.
I had a tire like that once on my Aprilia coming from Seminole Canyon State Park in West Texas and finally saw it in Kerville. Just as bad as yours. I was tempted to do the Ironbutt/BMW method of repair and wrap the wheel down the center with duck tape and ride it out the last 100+ miles home but I decided I wanted to make it home alive. :)
You gotta see the look on the faces of a Yamaha dealer trying to figure out how to change a tire on a single sided swingarm of an Aprilia Futura!
You know I made the duct tape suggestion to my buddy Jay and he thought I was nuts....well actually he already knew I was nuts but he wasn't too sure about the tape idea.
That could have bought me that extra six miles I needed.

Looks like a bunch of damn old farts on that fun trip!
You should know! :goofy:
Thanks for all the comments! :fing02:
Ron, I put my name on the Elka group buy so hopefully I'll have some new suspension on the bike pretty soon. When I do I'll come up and let you show me how to corner.
-
I figured you would have talked Mr. Dude into a VFR by now. I've had issues with cagers braking like that too and it always puzzled me. That and the ones that brake and veer off the road when you start to pass them like you're gonna plow into the back of their car. I just thought it was a Texas thing.

Stunning scenery! :fing02:

Great shots man! :fing02:
Wish I had been up there with ya.

Lunch Time….one thing I learned from Dutch and HS is to stop often and eat a lot…
What are you saying?? Yeah, yeah....I don't want to hear it from Miguel or Baileyrock either. One thing is for sure.... I didn't get my wonderful physique by dieting all the time.
-
HS has trouble restraining tears as his fear of heights takes over. Gary berates him to "buck up and act like a Web Forum owner already
That's hilarious!!
It was a good trip for sure. :fing02:

Great sunset shot. I could have had one like that on my ride home when the rain cleared for fifteen minutes but I couldn't get out of the trees in time. And I'm not sure about this whoop ass thing as slow as I was going....ha! Fantastic ride no doubt!
HS is right...Kevin is an awsome guy and I do appreciate him allowing me to stay at his place even though he didn't really know me. Maybe next time he'll let me sleep in the house instead of the carport. ;p

You should be ashamed of yourself violating Minnie like that!!!

Always good fun in the Ozarks. Glad you guys could make it. No Black Betty for me although I told Gary to give me a shout if he ever decided to sell her.
