Ok, folks. Here is the finished product. I know several of you were curious about the plastics sold on EBAY, so I played guinea pig and did it up. Much thanks to the NFR crew; Jon Bristol for putting her together and to Jimmy for painting the tank and seat cowl. I know the wheels should be orange, but those will get done when I get more money and probably the next time I get tires and do it all in one shot. Cost of new plastics were about $530 shipped to my door in ten days. Tank decals are from All Out Graphics.com. I also still have Radar's sliders to install, but haven't gotten the time yet. I like it!

Mmm, the 5th gen is yummy in Repsol.

How was the fit and finish? Quality? Any issues? Who did you order from?

- Patrick

Took Jon a lot of fiddling to get some of the parts to fit and they are not perfect like OEM by any means. However the ABS seems to be good quality and the paint was better than expected for what I paid! I got mine from Timmy Chung - Timmy666666. He was nice to do business with.

The finish on the parts are very good, but ya better have ALOT of time and talent for fit,, Jon had a SOLID 2 days making them work. The other thing was mounting tabs were all reinforced before assembly,, not a bolt-on factory deal at all.

I have to say tho it was REALLY worth it, the bike looks fantasic :fing02:

Woops, sorry Badazz, was posting same time as you

Looks great, thought you would do a BAT dedumbo though.

Yeah. Thought about that, but it would have been a lot of work........for Jim. The orange signals blend in pretty good with the orange paint anyway. Also, I am happy they are there as running lights for safety.

Looks good (If you like boy-racer graphics..LOL). Keep us posted on the quality and how the plastics hold-up from taking on and off and wear and tear.

Oh yeah and orange wheels for sure;-0

So what is the deal with the tank? Is it a cover? It looks fantastic BTW.

The tank was painted. I added the decals when done. They could have been clear-coated over too, but I didn't have them yet. I just wanted the bike done.

I haven't been off the bike much since I got it back!

Black wheels with orange repsol rim stickers looks pretty hot as well.

George

At the NFR clubhouse, we stood around for a good two hours drinkin beers and rubbin our chins discussing the wheel possibilities. Black with an orange pinstripe was a top option. My wheels were already red, so we thought they looked pretty good too. However, I am torn, I still feel that if I'm going to do the Repsol thing, I might as well do it right. On the other hand, I feel I also have creative freedom since it is a custom creation.
