After witnessing my brother have a nasty crash on his bike this summer due to a neglectful driver, and is still in recovery, I've decided it's time for me to call it quits to riding on 2 wheels. That being said, I'm putting my 2006 VFR800 up for sale locally, and offering all aftermarket parts up for sale. Here's what I've got in terms of aftermarket parts. If you are interested in a black 2006 vfr800, feel free to PM me as well and we can work out a fair price. I hope to add pictures in the near future. If someone is interested in parts, PM me and that may get me out to get some pictures in a more timely fashion. Two Brothers Racing Carbon Black Edition Exhaust - $500 obo Corbin Gunfighter and Lady Saddle - $500 obo - Full Leather (most have vinyl side panels, but I convinced Corbin to make one that was full leather and I was very happy with the end result) MRA Smoke Windscreen - $60 obo - stock shape Givi D217S Windscreen - $75 obo Has spoiler lip to direct airflow over the helmet. Good for long trips Givi V35NA 34 Liter Monokey Side Cases - Black w/ Red Reflector - $500 obo Givi PLXR166 - V35 Rapid Release Sideframes - $200 obo - These are the quick release sideracks that come with a special key so the rack can be easily removed when not in use. Givi 166FZ - Monorack Sidearms & M5 Monokey plate - $125 obo 2002-2009 Smoke Front Turn Signals - $15 obo Thurn Motorsport License Plate Bracket - $50 obo I'm not firm on prices, however some of these parts are now hard to come by. If you see something posted at a lower price somewhere, feel free to send me a link, and if I think it's a fair deal, I'll match or beat the price. I'm in no hurry to sell though. All items are priced w/o shipping or paypal fees. If you would like to purchase multiple items, I'd be willing to make a deal. I can also accept cryptocurrency if preferred

2003 Honda VFR800 Interceptor, silver, w/Givi bags, Erion pipes, non-ABS: $4,000. Adult-owned, garaged, and in great condition with many extras. Has about 12,800 miles, runs smooth, includes lowered footpegs, GenMar handlebar risers, Sargent seat, Erion Racing exhaust, tinted windscreen. Lockable, color-matched 1-key Givi hard bags, new Dunlop Q3+ tires available with sale, and more. Everything works. Stock seat, footpegs, windscreen, extra front fairing included. A few scuffs on the lower fairings but still looks and operates great. I've owned the VFR since 2017 and am moving to a Honda Valkyrie Interstate which is like a big brother to this VFR w/matching bags. Central Maryland area. Cross posted. 4047883757.

I have two cases which are scratched up, and I was wondering if anybody had ever refinished a black GIVI case and had lasting results. They are made of polypropylene. I was thinking of painting with flexible paint (like car bumpers) or covering with 3M film. Any input and ideas would be highly appreciated, or if the topic has been covered please point me to the relevant thread. Thanks

Hello all, I could use your expert guidance! The time has come, I think I'm finally going to replace my current trusty steed, a 3rd gen 1992 VFR750. She still runs well but plenty of cosmetic wear and it's time to pass it on to a beginner rider. After doing all the research to identify the next best motorcycle made since then ... I've decided that the 8th generation VFR800 is the one to buy. To be honest, I was surprised at how little Honda has changed the VFR in 25 years. All in all that's not a bad thing. I am not interested in 200 more cc's and 50 more hp or anything like that. But like everyone, I wish Honda would put some effort into weight reduction. Anyway, now I have the big dilemma of whether to get a basic model or the DLX. I am told the DLX offers 4 things: antilock brakes, traction control, heated grips, self cancelling turn signals. My usage would include plenty of commuting in the city and weekend trips, mostly year round on everything from wet roads to high desert canyons. From a 25+ year rider who isn't accustomed to the DLX features, are these really worth the extra dough? Warm hands are nice but aren't the heated grips an easy to install kit? I like the idea of antilocks but i can't see the need for traction control at all. Haven't had the chance to test ride the Deluxe model yet and unfortunately it sounds like ordering one means commiting to buy one. Local dealer has a 2014 basic model on the floor for $8k (plus all the fees and taxes and stuff). I inquired about a DLX model and was told they could get one, and the price would be about $10k plus fees/tax/etc, to be verified. Seems like cycletrader has a few scattered around the nation for $1k or so less, though I infer some of these might be demo models with milage and some light wear. Or is my local dealer too expensive? Couple more questions: - is the solo seat cowl standard equipment? - is the centerstand standard equipment? - has anyone fitted legacy Givi Monokey side cases (flat back like E21 and E360)? My VFR750 currently has a Givi Wingrack & good condition hard cases that are fantastic. Would anything stop me from transferring the old Givi kit over? I know the side case & pannier rack design has changed from what I see on the Givi site, but how hard could it be to just form my own adapter fit kit to the Wingrack? Anyone recommend other options? Pix for your viewing pleasure: OLD / NEW glamour shots. The more things change, the more the VFR stays the same! Thanks for all your insights!

Hi all, I was just wondering... How hard is it to filter traffic by VFR1200 with OEM panniers on? What is the total width of the bike with them on? (I guess wider than the two ends of mirrors) Are Givi V35 panniers narrower then the OEM ones? Any suggestion for narrower brand of panniers with decent look? (similar to the OEM and V35) Thanks.

Has anyone had a problem with those little screws that keep the rubber "string" attached to the case? I recently purchased a 6th generation VFR with the V35 side cases and top rack. Those screws popped out on the side cases and now they fall open. I tried to just screw them back in, but the threads are shot. I'm only assuming this is a common problem but I couldn't find any posts. I am looking for a solution for this problem. Sure there is the supper glue option, but I'm looking for something more permanent. Thank you in advance.

I've looked for the answer, but can't seem to find it. What is the difference between the Givi M3 and M5 mounting plate? It looks like the M3 is metal (aluminum?) and the M5 is plastic (some sort of composite). Is that the main difference? Can the luggage be used interchangeably between the two mounts?

I've decided to replace my 20-year-old tank bag with some of the funds the government kindly held for me last year ... After much searching of the Interwebs, I think I'll try one of the new-fangled tanklock models. I was thinking Givi, but I'm not sure what's going on with their lines and/or stock. The bag everyone was writing about a year or two ago was the T480 but that appears to be out of production. It looks like it was replaced with the XS line. Of those, the XS306 seems a bit large, and the XS307 is not in stock in most places. That led me to the Kappa RA308, which appears to be comparable to the XS307 and uses the same Givi mounting hardware. A few reviews rate the Kappa more highly because of its shape and how the expansion is handled. So ... questions: Does anyone have experience with these bags? What is your recommendation? And for the Kappa--there don't appear to be many North American distributors. I did find one online called Tour & Ride--does anyone have experience with them? Their phone number appears to have a Nevada area code (775), but the only address I could find on the site (under Terms and Conditions) is in Charlotte, North Carolina. Any help appreciated.

Hello everyone, I was wondering what would be better to look into buying first, a seat or some luggage? Corbin sells a combo w/backrest for about $700 roughly and Givi has their set up with E21 sides and a E36 top w/backrest for about the same $700. Im debating only because my 7yr old has done some riding with me in the past on a sportster and a honda shadow both with backrest both no longer in my garage. I feel that the three bag set up will be more secure for him but the Corbin would be better for me. I have other kids that like to ride out to the coast with me in the summer so +1 on the seat upgrade. On the other hand, i commute to work and the E21 hard cases would be perfect for storing rain gear and misc stuffs... so +1 there. I have considered other options such as a sargent seat, but no backrest... so -1. Anyway I cant decide so i thought i'd turn here to you all for a little feedback. What would you buy first?

As I was closing my right Givi E-28 saddlebag, I heard a tink-a-dink-a-diddle on the ground and saw the top half of the key. The bottom is still in the lock. Any idea how to get it out without destroying the lock (I have a second key) Please help me.

So I have decided next year to venture out of my comfort zone and do my first European tour. Going to look to start in Amsterdam and work my way south for a few days toward France and return back to the UK via rail before riding north for the final leg back to North Yorkshire. A good few days ride, but one I need to prepare for, fitting my VFR1200 DCT. Next summer at the earliest, since most of the upgrades are pretty costly. That in mind, I am looking for the biggest set of Givi side case(matte black) that I can fit on my bike, while having the stock exhaust. I want bigger than the V35. Mounting hardware(with part #s) and pics would be great help. Was probably going to do a Givi Maxia E55 for the top unless someone has a better idea. A set of Admore Lighting signals is also on the list. Also anyone who has any ideas on any particularly useful upgrades besides a gps to make the trip better would be helpful. Except for a set of Heli-bars the bike is stock. Thanks much for your input.

my existing magnetic tank bag used to scratch my tank. Figured out a way to keep this in position. These guys bykebitz.co.uk sell the GIVI adapter separately. Paid about 60GBP abt 90 USD + shipping (could have got a new tank bag). the kit came with the tank ring, bag adapter and the necessary fitting screws. Positioning the adapter is critical - so it does not interferer with the handle bar movement and sitting. Tried to keep it centered on the bag. Chopped the tank bag magnetic ears ! The bag has a soft base, so it needed to be reinforced. Used a fiber (from a local bag repair shop). Made necessary holes on the bag. They had supplied a drill bit - since the bag is soft, used a punch. now to put it all together The bag now site about half an inch about the tank. Pretty secured. The fiber supports the base preventing it from sagging. need to be tested on load.

To Buy Or Not To Buy - That Is The Question. Givi E41 Hard Case
marriedman posted a topic in Luggage
Hey guys, I need some experienced opinions. I have a line on a pair of Givi e41Monokey hard cases for $200. The only thing wrong with them is that there is a small bit of rash on the right side from a driveway drop and some touring stickers on them. They are supposedly still water tight. I know the price is good and I will still need to get the mounting kit. My quandary is this; I already have nice Silverstone soft saddlebags. Would it be better to get a topcase and mounting kit and continue to use my soft luggage? Or should I grab these cases and sell my soft bags to recoup the money? I figure you guys with more touring experience would have some insights to help me make the decision. I mainly use my bike for commuting and errands. I take day trips on the weekends, but I want to take much longer trips in the near future. Any advice or opinions appreciated! -
I just bought some hard cases and now I need to get a mounting kit. I started looking on google and here, but I am quickly drowning in options. I do not have a top case, but I don't want to rule out eventually getting one. According to my searches, the Wingrack appears to be the most popular. But the bike specific portion seems to no longer be produced. There is a tubular frame one, but I don't think it works with a top case. I have the stock can on the bike, but I have hopes of getting a high mount. I have seen several bikes with high mounts and hard cases, so it shouldn't be an issue. but I did want to mention it. I have already spent a bunch of money this year, so I can't get a case made of unicorn bones assembled by nymphs in eco-friendly paradise. But I also don't want a POS that will only last a season. Can you guys make a recommendation for me?

Winter Project #1 .... Custom Givi Wing Rack Mounts
Guest posted a topic in Third and Fourth Generation VFR's
I am JUST starting to plan for the Winter Upgrades / Maintenence on the 90 VFR. I have been ordering parts to get me stocked up for the winter In about 2-3 Weeks (End of October) the bike will be put away for the winter (once the daytime temps drop below 32F/0C) , at that point the fun will begin. Project#1: Custom Givi Mount One of my plans for next year is to do some longer distance touring, but I have found that the current Softbags really do not cut it, so I wanted to add hard-bags. The Hard bags will provide better security for my belogings when commuting to work, and they will be easier to take on and off than the softbags Since the Mount kits for the 3rd Gen are long out of production, I have two choices, wait for a used set to come up ... Or fab up my own. I chose option#2. I found a Givi Wingrack (NOS) that was a dealer display that I grabbed Cheap. Last week I got a set of Giv E41's at a good price. Today I picked up some mild steel flat bar, round bar and 3/8" tube to fabricate the mounting adaptors/brackets to attach the wingrack to the bike. All the bits ... Mocked up the Wing Rack - using Zip ties to get an idea of the rough placement so I could get an idea of the clearances and mounting options for the hard-points. I then attached the Bags to see the actually placement and clearance ... it definately has to move rearward to allow comfortable access to the passenger pegs. But I am excited ... I think it will work well and look pretty good. This is it for now. I will update once I start working on the Bracket Fabrication Cheers Moose -
I found some used Givi E41 monolock that I'm interested in. I was just wondering if anybody had tried these. I was worried if they would be too big. I wanted to mount them on the SW Motech quick release racks.
