  4. Unbelievable heart breaking. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and you Duc. I had the pleasure to meet him once, I bought his beautifully refurbished Wolf exhaust and unloaded some old plastics he wanted for track days. He was kind, low key and seemed a very genuine person. He will be missed.
  5. Thurn has the sidestand replicas available, 45 Euro unpainted.
  6. Tbros and Erion made headers but they don't look like the TBros set I had. Looks like a nice set though, great price.
  7. This help? 1.0.1.man-plx209.pdf
  8. Think you're looking for the PLX209, don't appear to be available anymore. SWMotech had also made some Givi side racks for the 1200. Probably need to hit eBay or get creative to adapt some from another bike, I fitted the 6gen V35 racks to my '99 with a little work. https://www.amazon.com.au/PLX209-74364-Tubular-Pannier-Holder/dp/B004WJ6HIY
  9. Welcome and congrats on the purchase, and a happy bday! Hope we all are still riding and enjoying at 80!
  10. Same problem, and I was using a apiece of wood under the c-stand. I did recently ditch the cstand all together but could also use a slightly longer side-stand.
  11. This here. I put a new Honda '03+ stator and used eBay flywheel in my '99 a few months ago. Works great, flywheels are $30-$50.
  12. I put a Marchesini 1098S rear on a little while ago and it makes the bike feel 50 lbs lighter. I think you'll be amazed how it improves handling. I just picked up a set of slightly bent Oz wheels, having a wheel guy straighten them out, hopefully they make it on the VFR.
  13. Are we 4 orders short or just waiting on 4 deposits?
  14. You can find aftermarket replacement signals on eBay, original orange, clear or even smoked.
  15. Welcome to vfrd. Good luck with the build, there's a few nice examples of '90-'97 streetfighters on here. This is probably my favorite, I think it was a '93, not my work and I don't think the build thread is still available but gives you an idea of what can be done.
  16. Any idea how close? Coming up on 5 months since deposit was sent....
  17. It should stay in California, too much $ to ship over. Happy to help, can drive down and pick up, got cash.
  18. I weighed the OEM '99 header at 11lbs/5kg, and a Two Brothers stainless header at 7.5lbs/3.4kg, that was without silencer. Welcome to the site.
  19. I was somewhere around 70K miles when that original plug burnt out, second r/r however, original r/r replaced as preventative measure iirc.
  20. I just upgraded to the sh847 and a new 6G stator for my '99, and a lithium battery. Stator few months ago: Stator connector in '09. Did the crimp connectors and simply twisted/shrink wrapped the other end, eliminating the Honda connector. 18 months later: Respliced and soldered those burnt connections, the spade connectors at the r/r were toasty as shown above so I tried once more with new crimp connectors. About 15 months later: Finally took those out and soldered everything, no connectors. Ran fine for the last 10-11 years like that until the stator started going. Lesson learned on those cheap connectors for higher amp circuits.
  21. Few pics with the Kappa K33's installed. Ordered from Italy through eBay, took only a week for delivery and were 40% cheaper than Givi. They're basically identical to the Givi bags and use the same lock sets.
  22. '80's Toyota pickups are going for $15K-$20K all day on BAT, old Celicas and other 80's cars just as much. I don't think sense comes in to the equation. That is a nice example and I can see it getting $5K.
  23. Go through this: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1091/5694/files/fault-finding-diagram.pdf?235929069374954073 Looks like your stator may not be putting out enough.
  24. Has been done I take it, here's some light reading on the subject:
