  1. I have a spare in a box at home. Let me see if i can get to it tonight. MiniCarver was supposed to be stacking VF500F engines in that area to clean up the garage today. keith
  2. There's that tall drink of water actually getting replenished in the water.... :fing02:
  3. Concerned for the rabbits, huh? At 150 it would have to be larger than a large dog to upset you much. Did you see Pendejo run over his own leg at Silverstone, thereby setting his RC212V back onto it's tires so it could get away from him post haste and try to commit hari kari by bonzai-ing the wall during qualifying? kewl pix Sebastian...
  4. Dang HS, love the grin! When we previewed all available accessories with the American Honda team, I didn't see the viberider listed... Enjoy that thing and keep the grin! :cheerleader:

Getting MiniCarver's VF500F ready for his first track day
  6. Maybe the dust just sticks to the rear wheel beeter from chain lube spooge or some such thing and you have the front wheel well waxed after having it powder coated... I wouldn't fret, lose sleep or riding time worrying about it, you looked fine during our ride saturday, definately not locking upi the rear and backing it into the corners...
  7. I asked him about that Sunday when you guys were gearing up to leave. Even thought it might be a different brake pad compound between front and rear. Says he has the same brake pads front and rear but all I see is clean front wheel and brake dusty rear... I wonder if it is the oil he uses. :laughing6-hehe:
  8. It's actually CBR-1000 bodywork I believe.
  9. Top Dead Center looks like he has a little Captain in him, doesn't he?

  11. Miguel, I was thinking "why did he de-dumbo it and then add the white mirrors? " But the more i look at it the more it grows on me. I know you put a lot of hard work into it and hours and hours of sanding. Congrats on getting it done and back together. Looks great and you certainly wont see yourself at every stop light, even at a VFRD meet. Bravo Zulu!
  12. Tim, You guys done moving I hope. Drop a line if so, I am interested in a set of triple clamps with stock VFR rake and trail. Would love to use your files if you allow it or perhaps ok Seb to send me his edited file with the gull wing top clamp me to take to a local machinist. Thanks and congrats again on the amazing results on your rebuild. keith
  13. So you are saying he should move to Chicago where finding a spare $28k for a custom machined 'busa motor "is the way to go"? I don't know where he is from (I am guessing SoCal by his mention of a 510 - not many of those survived outside the dry southwest) but I wouldnt move to Chicago. Of course he did mention that he likes the "disposable" nature of the Nissan 240/260Z....isn't every car in Chicago disposable? :goofy: I turned down two jobs there recently because my transportation is Molly (my beat up 5th gen) or Oskar (my stage III Dinan E36 M3) and neither of the three of us would last through two Chicago winters. I do love Chicago and usually spend a week there every May for the annual restaurant show. Great city , amazing restuarants, great museums and culture. Love the people of the midwest too. I don't think he wants to spend big money, I think he wants to develop his own unique solutions to the riddle that each individual must answer. I applaud him for his dream and wish him the best in his pursuit of a job and new home for he and his future bride. Keep us posted as you make progress and update your profile with your location, possibly someone on here will hear of a job opening that crys out for your unique outlook and skill set.
  14. How freakin' cool is this site and the people that are united by more than divides us?! Welcome Anik, I hope you business is successful here and that you enjoy your time as much. Carver
  15. thanks for the write up and posting your experiences. I have a gutted cat and PCIII, any potential benefit from fitting the 12 hole injectors to a 5th gen? increased fuel atomization? better power or more economical mileage? How about adding an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator while in there? carver
  16. Uh - yeah...don't you recognize it silly? ;) just look at those rear subframe bolts
