  1. I'm definitely not a fan of the new horn/turn signal layout!
  2. I don't think I've ever tried - can you upshift without the clutch while keeping the throttle wide open?

  4. Glad you are all OK! Tow truck driver needs his ass kicked...
  5. Looking back at what I wrote, it looks like I was saying "always" (not sure if that's what you have a problem with). Fwiw, I didn't mean that, I meant to say and should have added "often". The internet is chock full of video footage showing accidents that occurred where/when a driver/rider was going too fast - too fast for conditions; too fast for vehicle capabilities; too fast for driver/rider skill level; etc. Other times, it's simply a matter of wrong place/wrong time. (1996) https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1996-09-20-mn-45651-story.html (the other week) https://ktla.com/news/local-news/off-duty-l-a-county-deputy-killed-by-flying-tire-on-5-freeway-another-deputy-hospitalized/ (the chronology is incorrect as reported - I was told that the other accident happened first, which caused the wheel to come loose from one of the vehicles involved and fly over the divider)
  6. I definitely believe speed is a significant contributing factor. The faster you go, the less time you have to react/respond and the less margin you have for error. I had a close call awhile back where I almost T-boned an SUV, and neither one of us was doing anything illegal or stupid - if I had been going even 5mph faster, I might have hit. According to https://www.nhtsa.gov/risky-driving/speeding "Speeding endangers everyone on the road: In 2018, speeding killed 9,378 people." and "For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2018, speeding was a contributing factor in 26% of all traffic fatalities."
  7. In case anyone was interested, just came across this documentary earlier today: https://we.tl/t-sNR50ehlaE Link is good for 7 days

  8. Two thumbs up to that guy!
  9. yup!
  10. my guesses are either the picture was taken immediately after or the barricades and warning signs aren't visible (if they were visible in the photo, IMO they would be too close to the hazard to be effective). of course, you'll always have a couple of people drive around barricades and warnings, get stuck or crash or whatever, and sue anyway...
  11. quick ebay search - some of these have decent pictures of the connectors (you'll have to match yours, I won't have time to check until the weekend): https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=O2+02+OXYGEN+SENSOR+EXTENSION+HARNESS+4+WIRE+CABLE+KIT+FOR+HONDA+UP&_sacat=0
  12. Try contacting/PMing SFDownhill - he took care of that for mine...
  13. A forever VFR for me means no VTEC and I could relatively easily adjust my own valves (no shims required) on an 86/87... 🙂 I think the member is "evl_twn". Not sure if this is his gallery/website or not: http://www.rc30.us/vfr.html The 840 I'm thinking of doesn't have (afaik) FI or LED or AA (those would be my wish list)... I apologize, I don't remember who's drool inducing garage this is:
  14. I forgot who has that wicked RWB 86 VFR840 but I think that bike with fuel injection, an AA supercharger, and upgraded electrics (including LED lights) would be a forever VFR for me...
  15. Have you done it or know someone who has?
