I inspected the loom where I noticed scuff marks behind the loom on the frame. Rhs, area below front right coil Took of the tape and guess what is for dinner? Spagetti!! :-) (Un)fortunately, none look "cooked", for that would have identified the cause of prior shortening.... Och well, will see if tomorrow I can fit the new altenator. Would have been ok to leave it with just one bolt (that is what Ricks suggest for the new OEM one that is the same thickness anyway).
