Member Contributer 2thdr Posted August 7, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted August 7, 2013 Anyone know where to find these? They seem to be a cleaner way to weight the wheel instead of stick ons that leave all that crap behind when you take them off... EDIT: not the type that clamp to the edge of the wheel, the type that come OEM that clip on to the bead at the center of the wheel
marriedman
The bike shop that I took my tires to be balanced said they would sell them to me if I wanted them. But there is alway ebay if you want them in bulk: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Clip-On-Tire-Wheel-Balancing-Weights-for-Alloy-Wheels-25-ct-Box-AW-1-75-oz-/230972217601?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item35c7045901&vxp=mtr
Member Contributer FJ12Ryder Posted August 7, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted August 7, 2013 Amazon has them: http://www.amazon.com/Amico-Motorcycle-Wheel-Balancing-Weights/dp/B00BQHC4GY/ref=sr_1_22?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1375897329&sr=1-22 Found another place here: http://www.mikesxs.net/products-57.html Be aware that the type that clip on to the center rib will scratch when you remove them. Most of what I've found no longer contain lead, which makes them large and hard to trim if you need less than the amount of one chunk. I want my lead weights back!! Member Contributer dutchinterceptor Posted August 7, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted August 7, 2013 I haven't been able to find them without ordering in bulk. Even though they scratch the rim I still prefer the Honda weights.

Member Contributer Havagan Posted August 7, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted August 7, 2013 I just do the stick-on weights (I don't want the rims scratched up). Some Goo-Gone makes quick work of any sticky residue.

Yep, all they do is scratch the wheel upon installation/removal. I'll take stick-on weights every time.

Thanks for that Larry, I've been futzing around with the Goo Gone crap (citrus cleaner?), and it doesn't seem to work very well. Thank God for Petro chemicals! It's one of the oddest things I've seen said on a forum?
