Member Contributer BonusVFR Posted December 11, 2009 Member Contributer Share Posted December 11, 2009 About this time of the year, I find myself checking out new bike reports and thinking about tours for next year. Sometimes looking back into the mirror stirs the soul and how much fun VFR touring really is........ . Maybe I should do that again! Anyway here are some of my favorite remembrances from tours past.............when I did not get off the bike to shoot. One of my all time favorites...........the road, the view........the whole darn thing. Preparing to dive down Tioga Pass..taking it all in. Sherman Pass....East Side Moraine Lake, Canada Got any reflections?

Member Contributer BonusVFR Posted December 12, 2009 Author Member Contributer Share Posted December 12, 2009 If you have not been to Yosemite on a MC you have not ........well it just is GD fantastic. Coming in from the West.........you just have to decide what is important, the view or the corners. There is tooooooo much of both to do well....both! From the West on RT 120....The Valley and Bridalviel Falls just to add some life to the picture. The road is off to the left.

Baileyrock
Nice shoots, I'm played with mirror shots one day. Not near as sweet of scenery, but it's fun to play with. Here's few of mine from this summer. Click on pic!
Member Contributer BonusVFR Posted December 12, 2009 Author Member Contributer Share Posted December 12, 2009 Dutchy ...these shots remind me of Vermont. I always loved cruising the back roads but no MC then. Sometimes when you are riding thru pasture land I just tick the throttle back a bit to enjoy. Sometimes tractors and associated droppings/deposits encourage moderation toooooooo. This is one of my favorite sections for some reason. It is in the 395 valley south of Reno/Minden. Snow on mountains to the West surrounding Lake Tahoe. Farms and cattle dot the valley below. A little further south on 395 near Bridgeport...and a little faster most of the time. The jump to Sonora Pass/RT 108 not far from here.

V4 Rosso
From my 1800 V6 (180 degree V)VFR touring model Beautifull shot. We hardly ever have these clear blue skies, not sure what is the cause, maybe just a lot of dirt/smog that reflects the sunlight.
