Lucky you!

Check steering head bearings for play and plan in a set of tapered bearings if not required yet, originals are ball bearings.

Get the regulator sorted with a FH020 (Not cheapy 20 quid ebay ones! OEM on loads of bikes, get a used one) straight away if not done yet before it goes pooooof! A voltmeter to keep an eye on things.

Change all fluids if not been done recently including the forks.

Check date on tires to see how old they are, I am firmly in the max. 5 year rule camp now.

Check chain, sprockets and brake pads.

Wash, polish and ride for many trouble free miles 👍

There's so much info on here if you read through the 5th Gen section. You'll find the answer to virtually any questions in there.

Love those on the yellow bikes. I wish powdercoating and new bearings was in the budget!

I'm liking the grey wheels on my 00. Will be looking once I gets some miles on it and confirm it's a keeper.

Had white wheels on my 93, then TLR and 05 GSXR1K.  No more white rimps for me...

Clean it to your own level..

Plain Stardrops @10:1 is a great product, or ph shampoo even Fairy just wash all off..

You may know about Snowfoam like a cleaner you let dwell. Wash with a MITT a SPONGE will scratch the paint.

Any wax is better than none, for bikes FK1000p is a wax seal, great for rims paint exc only about £16 a tin will last a lifetime.. Collinite.

Have fun enjoy yourself.
