TWO NEW VIDEOS
My good friends Tim and Gary planned to spend a few days in the Ozarks and then head West to ride NM, AZ, and UT.
Weather could be a factor out West, so our plan was to meet in Taos, NM, and then plan the rest from there.

Well, I hit 1K posts recently. I don't know exactly when but it happened kinda fast. It's neat to be in the top 45 of all posters when there are about 10,000 users here.
I don't think I'll ever make it to the the top 10. We've got some people here who "post whore" a lot more than I do.
It's been a fun ride up to 1K. I've gotten to know a lot of you and ride with a few of you, too. This is a great bunch. In fact, I think that this forum has, overall, the most pleasant demeanor of many of the f
Yup, it's official. I've spent way too much time on here. I'm now up to 2000 posts!
Well, in my "1000 Posts" blog entry, I talked about some "grand" milestones I've had. I don't remember any of them right now, but they were pretty cool. B) Now, how about some 2000 milestones. Hmmm.....
...yeah, I've got nothing. :P Well, here's picture of me in my new favorite shirt.
And what about a showing of all my avators that I've ever had:
Hmm, yeah, I'm out of ideas now.
So, I was supposed to take my Hawk to Brooklyn tonight. A friend of mine is willing to trailer it for a track weekend at BeaveRun and back. However, today was not my day. The whole day I felt very tired and my brain hurt but the upcoming rainy weather was not giving me a choice. I had to take the bike there before the 'monsoon' starts. To make sure that I will be able to find his place, I typed his address into google maps and printed it out. My head was tired so I did not even read the name of
Well i finally have my webspace back up and running. Im just going to put my videos in here for those who wish to view them.

Monarch Pass In The Rain
I found some more footage from our annual Colorado trip to Creede, this short video is of the ride home over Monarch pass topping out at near 10,000 feet at the Continental divide. There were 5 of us riding up the pass but I was in the lead for most of the video. It was cold at the top!

Well here I go... my first blog ever. Right here on VFR. Today the weather has warmed up and I feel like I am coming out of hibernation (slowly). The winter cold ususally signals very little partying, riding, and doing tons of crazy shit like that. Well I hope to keep everyone updated on my happenings. Gonna get back to setting this up nice... really cool.
One more week until my Freddie Spencers riding school trip to Vegas. I am working in my gear and getting ready for this amazing tri

I was putting away some of my videos into boxes for storage today and came across this slice of the Texasmac ride from 2006, it is footage from Deals Gap to Fontana Village. I tried to identify all the riders in the video and I think they are as follows, perhaps sombody can correct me if I am wrong, Baileyrock, mq105, jeremy556, vtecal, vfrmonkey, intAceptor, and Billyjackjimbob who was in front of me. I think it was from the first day Thursday right after riding Deals Gap - E
Maybe I am naive, dumb or just misread people. I don't think so but it seems that with the Flaf I have inadvertently bothered some.
When I first found VFRD I was about as enthused as anyone could be. I was a member here before I found my Y2K VFR. I shared the entire experience with all who were here. Anyone will tell you that my enthusiasm for the bike and this group was nothing short of unbridled.
When I finally found out about the Flaf I thought it was the coolest idea since the VFR. I thoug
You think you've done embarassing thing in your life? Me? Eh, yeah, I had plenty of these. These however are limited to my motorcycle experiences. except for . . . you'll see.
#5- The first dropping of the bike. It's Friday night, I am finished working, I am ready to climb on my first ever street bike - A 1982 750 katana. I'm ready to take off when a couple of customers take a peek at me and my ride ready to attack to road. I rev the engine a few times, to get everyone's attention, pu
Mountain Road
I was clearing out some old data CD's from my shelf and ran across a sort of poem I wrote while VFRD was still part of Delphi Forums, way way way back in the day.
Why I Ride
Riding my motorbike
Down a swift road
Leaning into a turn,
And then another
Kicking the gear
Dropping into third
Grabbing the throttle,
Looking down the road
To where I really want to be
Humming song of my motor
Piercing a silent hollow in the forest trees
Stuttering rays of sunlight and shado
Here I am, at home in front a crackling fire, enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of "stinkin'" Merlot, thinking of what I would like to accomplish in my life. O course, this, I will limit to the sport of motorcycling.
First on "The List" is: Become a racer! I have been watching on and off all sorts of motor racing since I was a young lad. From the day I was dreaming of becoming the next Ross Peterson, but without even trying to line up on the grid of a motocross race. I have contempla
I've always considered my bike a "baby" Frankenviffer. The left gearswitch is from a Suzuki GSXR, it had Buell footpegs at one time, and the grips are from BMW. In the near future, I hope to graph a Euro-spec VFR gearswitch onto it, my 98/99 VFR headers are currently at Jet-Hot, and I've got a rear shock from a CBR1100XX Blackbird that I'm going to install.
Sure, my bike definitely has parts from other motorcycles attached (or soon to be attached) to it. But, what normally catapults a bike int

My sig from the start
There is no explanation needed for this. I like to keep the peace. That's it.
Likes to calmari from time to time.
My sig from Jan 1, 07.
Calamari is fried squid. Squids like to drive fast on public roads. Figure the rest out yourself.

"What do you want? What are your goals?" people ask me sometimes. I hate those questions and I don't think much about the people who are asking them either. How lazy of them to ask and assume that I will sit down and tell them all about my aspirations, hopes and possibilities. I cannot describe all my goals in one sentence. So, I usually don't. And, I really hate those questions.
I hate those questions even more than a question which people ask so seldom: "What is your life goal?" Sometimes, p
Oh man what day! The Colts fulfilled there destiny and Payton stepped up to get his ring. Not that I care all that much but the guy was starting to look too much my like my very own John Elway with all that dissapointment, these last few years, nobody wants to see reruns! I was glad to see the Colts collect on a promise they made!

Bad Karma is Kicking My Ass as usual! I have never been one to live my life by a set of unbreakable rules, nor am I paticularlly Pious by any means, however I do have a stong sense of right and wrong and knowingly once in a while, I take advantage of the situation. It never seems to pay off since Karma comes back into play to make things more interesting. Such as my Helibar procurement - of which I am sorry for, read thread if you havent a clue - on "Throttlemisters and Helibars"

Well, the forecast for Portland the next few days sucks. Looks like snow is on the way. Well, I guess I'll start working on the bike then. It's been sitting in the garage for quite a while. I don't think it's been started since early December.
Anyway, my plans for the next few weeks is to (in order of importance):
• Do the valve check
• Change out the fork fluid
• Flush out the radiator
• Swap out rear shock with one from a Blackbird
• Put 98/99 headers on the bike
My XR that is, this time around!
Figured out that I had missed an oil jet oring and had it in the wrong spot! no wonder it was chewing up cam shafts! Well anyway I fixed it, then pumped it to make sure oil was getting to the cams! Had it all back together and of course could not get the cam chain tentioner to release! This thing is complicated more than the vfr?
Sweet! I just won an auction for a used 6th Gen engine and it only costed me $51.
Now I just have to drive all the way up to Blaine, WA to pick it up. I'll hoping to head up the first weekend in December to get it, since I hopefully already be up in Seattle for the International Motorcycle Show.
So, I'm sure that the few of you who actually read my blog are wondering what plans I could possible have for a spare engine? Hmm, good question. For starters, I want to
