    A couple of years ago a member on the vfroc.nl forum had an awful experience with Carmo. This was shortly after the vfr1200 came onto the market. Bottom line they failed to do the work and returned the ECU with holes drilled in the casing (afaik) Maybe they now, years later, are able to do a good job...

    As long as there is no road salt, she will pull her (and my) weight..... The limitations are my (older) winter gloves and my inability to locate my 12V Powerlet inner gloves. "I put them in a VERY special place................ somewhere....). The Oxford grips get uncomfortably hot at 80% power on my palms. It is them finger tips that after 45 minutes of motorway blasting are paying the price for my core temps dropping. And I flat out refuse to ride a K1600LT!!!

    Life is a wee bit nippy at 3C @160KmH.... So my 25+ year old gear mountaineering gear (the elastic "pull"cord crumbled) came in "handy"

    Seb, how does the rear shock perform? Chances are that by now it is well past use by date... And the s/s lines, are they HEL?

    Have another spare one in the attic I spray the box with black HT paint after clean/degrease now and then. ACF50 made an awful smoke..... I know it would so made straight for the motorway... The brown stuff on the underside of the frame rail is some anti rust coating. Not tectyl but.... will look it up. PS: Odometer showed 69696.9 today... Go Nicky!!
