  1. I can't upload files to the download section so here is a zip that contains two torrent files. One for the (86-87) service manual and one for the parts catalogue. Whoever downloads the files, would you be so kind to upload them to the VFRD download section so these files remain available to others as well, thanks.

    2008 Bmw Rally

Great write up and pics. Looks like a very good ride. Was he wearing one of those helmets with horns on top or did he maybe rely on his load pipes?
  3. It is a work of art  :fing02:
  4. It is real. The ductail seems quite popular: This is one hot CBX :fing02: Keny, is this mod still on the To Do list?
  5. Hi Martijn, I posted some pics of the taillight in the fifth gen forum => click. I think it looks good on the silver VFR, OK on the blue too but (when it also has the clear front indicators) but not so well on other color VFRs. Not sure how this will look on the third and fourth gen. Maybe on the blue third gen ('93, with the silver bellypan) and turqoise 4th gen. It doesn't go well with red on any generation.
  6. Next years 1000cc V5 VFR will run on tapwater.
  7. Here I can only ride those single tracks on my mountain bike, and although where I live it is mostly flat it still is a lot of fun. Very nice pics of some beautiful scenery :fing02: And those marks on the trees are indeed most likely deer scraping the skin of their new antlers.
  8. And this time no photoshop The Gimp manipulation :goofy:

    Vfr 916

Saw this ad of a 4th gen with some ducati 916 plastics up for sale. I have no further info but I think it looks pretty good and thought some of you would too.
  10. From the album: "Europe here I come"

Doug had to drop of a pair of carburators at this small motorcycle shop/mechanic that, besides scooters, specialises in Husqvarna, MV Augusta & Cagiva. He also had two very fine racers parked out back. Could not take any pics of those as the battery of the camera had run out of juice.

    poser :D

From the album: "Europe here I come"

It is just impossible to capture the breathtaking views over the Mosel river. When we rode out of the forest and looked down the hill seeing the switchbacks, the snakelike river and the little town surrounded by vineyards bathing in the sun, we immediately pulled over to enjoy the view. Absolutely stunning :fing02:

View of the Nürburgring looking south south-west. The second WSBK race would be cut short by 4 laps due to rain that supposedly fell in this area of the track  Click on the image for a larger view.

    The man himself.

From the album: "Europe here I come"

Here is the man that started it all: Kent the flying Fin, somewhere on the L49. He loaded his 1st gen into his van and rode to Douglasthecook who lives in the southern Eifel (Germany) to ride the famous Nordschleife and some of Germany's best twisties. Read more about his ride here and here

  22. Looks like a great trip. I wish we had mountains like that over here within a couple hours riding distance. Is there snow on the mountaintops year round?
  23. Looking good, but what's up with the RWB colors? I thought you were going with all grey shades, or this this one from a spare set. The clipons look nice, but wouldn't it be a lot easier if the bolts that clamp the clipons to the fork stanchions were oriented the other way round? Seems like you can't reach the bolts when the master brake cilinder is installed.
  24. Was at the Honda dealer recently and they had the Honda branded Zumo on display. It also has the remote control (speak & zoom). Here is a crappy phone pic.
  25. I like it, and think it has just the right amount of blue. :fing02:
